Does anyone else have problems with Sainsburys onling always being late?

This will be the 4th week running they have been late. Just had a phone call to say they will be 15 minutes late. Last week I didn't get a call and they were nearly an hour late. 3 weeks ago they were about 3 hours late - did get a call though. And they are often just 5-10 minutes late.

I know I get a £10 voucher each time, but really - can they not make it on time just occasionally?!

And last week's £10 off voucher didn't work either! :(

Anyone else having this problem?

ive only had 1 late delivery with sainsburys but never got the £10 voucher - emailed them numerous times about it (principle obviously) but still nothing.

Sainsburys online was a disaster in out area. They were late, they never had anything I had ordered and came up with crazy substitues like stilton instead of cheddar cheese. Switch to Ocado!

we have tesco's and they have been fine bizarrely we had a 100 jkng size cigarettes gratis in our order this week but otherwise fine!

Trouble is these are the only ones witht he one hour slot. I tried Asda and it was rubbish, although I do sometimes shop there on my way home from work - only on I pass. I have never got on well with tescos in store, so not sure about trying the delivery. But may have to as this is daft.

It is now 36 minutes late and no sign. the man said he was running 15 minutes late.

the one hour slot is a waste of time if they don't stick to it..perhaps it's just not practical, it might as well be a two hour one!

Well still not here, s nearly 1 hour late. This is pointless!

we don't have a problem with them although I could swear the last time I ordered, they were still doing 2 hour slots round here (we are in London, can't remember where you are so maybe 1 hr slots not practical round here)

I would write a strongly worded email to their customer service manager - like you say, it's not about the vouchers, it's about the fact that we are busy people and that hour is what you have set aside. The whole delivery service is pointless unless they do what they say.

Exactly. I can't start to prepare lunch until they show up and I am supposed to be gong out this afternoon. Everything gets pished back.

I think an email to customer services as it is so often now.

We've had problems with Sainsburys too. BTW if the voucher doesn't work phone customer services and they'll give you a new voucher code.

try waitrose? 1hr slots always on time and so far have never substituted any of my items. worth the couple of extra quid i say

I have seen a Sainsburys van down the road, but going in wrong direction!!!

I did! He has now been. Another voucher, and nearly 1.5 hours late!

Our Tesco's order was wrong last week and this week an hour late. They don't take responsibility for late deliveries so no vouchers from them.

How much do Sainsbury's charge to deliver?

I mostly used Tescos but switched to Sainsburys for a few weeks. Won't tell you the state of the fruit and veg I ordered, but all three weeks it turned up late. I think they just offer the (non-working) vouchers to pacify people against what is expected.

I ordered one week from ocado because I had a discount voucher and free wine and chooclates to claim!! But I was quite disappointeein the inline choice, quite limited and more expensive if I hadn't had the 15.00 voucher but delivery was free and they had two deliverers

So I have returned to Tesco's where the choice online is wider and I can currently find discount codes every week so it works out cheaper than the store but I see that money saving expert have pulled their dicount code thread so I suspect that a clapm down on disount code use is in the offing

zippi - I'm thinking the same, I won't bother shopping online if I can't get my £10 or £15 off!

I have to admit waitrose stock is so much smaller, but I love the freshness of fruit, veg and meat... the quality is far superior. But yes, to feed a ton of hungry people if you need choice it has to be tescos... for now.

I had nightmares with Tescos, they failed to deliver my order 3 nights in a row and then charged me three times for it. (Can't believe I'm still - this was four years ago now!)
Ocado was heaven, but could never believe how little food I got for the money.

Saisburys delivery is £5, or free on Tues-Thurs if order is more than £70.

Have to say that the fresh stuff we buy from Sainsburys is always very good. Never had any problems with short dates, battered or bruised fruit or veg or poor quality stuff. And the neat and fish is normally excellent.

It is just the lateness every time that bugs me.
