Cyan >> aww that's too bad Grin I'm really curious!!! We will get all the photos from the shooting on cd which is very lucky I think, it was a full two hours sessions so it was probably hundreds of pics I'm guessing... wonderful! As from UA I didn't say we weren't going with them just as I didn't say to B&B, I just thought I'd let them figure out... they enver contacted me again so either they weren't that keen on dd or they just got the message!! I honestly honestly didn't think ua were very keen on her... don't ask me why I just had the feeling!!!

Anyway I better go to bed, had a rough night last night and I need sleep, baby gets really agitated when I don't have good night, bless him!

Really hoping I can go to the hair dresser, just had a break down with dh because I never get to go out on my own and do stuff, and I really n-e-e-d it... he doesn't get it... oh well!

Night everyone, take care :)

morning all
totallyfloaty35 what's dd1's casting for? when my dd done the unilever casting she had to skip and hula hoop, i wonder why they get them to to those two things.
3 hours travelling? where have you got to come from? i can see what you mean that is a lot of travelling, thats why i turned down the west end theatre audition but we would have to have done a 3 hour 20 journey each way from next week up to july.which would have been too much. it's not so bad for you when it's a one off every now and again. do you get the train.

perfumelady · 28/02/2006 09:28

yummymummy321 · 28/02/2006 11:52

Hi there,
Thanks for all the welcoming messages!!

Cyan - The reason I wasnt keen on Norrie Carr was that when I used to call to let them know new info, such as when he had lost a tooth or started walking, they wasnt interested at all!!! Also, he only ever did 1 small job in ages and I was just disappointed!!!

I get on well with all the ladies at Bizzykidz, as they like you to call and email regularly with updates on the child which i really like... He has done pretty well out of it all too....we get called quite regularly for things and Ive made loads of new friends with other mums!!!

Perfumelady - my little one got a Unilever job too...did a shoot with them a little while back...photos were great! Also done a job recently for persil, cant wait to see that!

Anyone else done any jobs recently??

tigeryuan · 28/02/2006 12:03

hello yummymummy321!
you're lucky with bk, my ds has been with them since nov 05, but, we have nothing so far!!

yackertyyack · 28/02/2006 12:08

Hi yummymummy - Welcome!Smile
My little man is doing an ad tomorrow if his nose stops running!! Glad you get on well with BK and that your little one has had jobs, how old is he?
If you don't mind me asking?

perfumelady · 28/02/2006 12:09

tigeryuan welcome back hope your feeling better soon.

yummymummy321 we went to unilever casting but didn't get job, were you the lady i was talking to on the sofa in reception while waiting for taxi, her dd was with bizzykidz and her daughter was in that weeks angelina ballerina?

yackertyyack · 28/02/2006 12:10

welcome back tigeryuan....hope you had a nice time!! Ohhh let us know if your wee man is in Junior (and your DD Izzy!) I find it really annoying that they are always wrapped up....you can't have a flick through them without having to buy them!!!

perfumelady · 28/02/2006 12:11

yackertyyack hope your little man is better tomorrow, who's the ad for? sorry you have probably said a million times

yummymummy321 · 28/02/2006 12:17

I think it really just depends and tigeryuan you are right, it has everything to do with luck as with all the agencies...

I have found that you can only ever give your personal experiences, as it is unfair to say this agency is a con etc etc and they are this and that, because it depends on each child and people only seem to share their views when they want to write bad stuff, so i thought it only fair to share my views which have been positive...

I have heard just as much bad stuff written on this and other forums about all the other agencies - elisabeth smith, bruce & brown, MOT, little acorns, scallywags etc etc but i cant comment as I have never been with them, although have met loads of other mums at castings who have and thay have all had both good and bad experiences from all of them...

I personally have found Bizzykidz has provided me with loads of work, although I must admit I didnt hear naything for about 3 months once and when i called to ask why they told me i hadnt updated them with new photos and his height, so he had been disregarded by a couple of clients as they had noticed his photos were not taken recently, which is fair enough....so now I just send them over some new pics every month and since then and have had loads, so is that maybe what you are doing wrong tigeryuan??

tigeryuan · 28/02/2006 12:18

yackerty - good luck tomorrow.

yummymummy321 · 28/02/2006 12:23

Perfumelady - no it wasnt me on the sofa...sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My neighbour's little girl has done a magazine cover with BK too, although it wasnt the angeline ballerina one this time, i think it was dora the explorer??!

yackertyyack, my little one is 3 next month...

izzyrubi · 28/02/2006 12:25

tiger >> welcome back! how's gorgeous ds doing? hope he's better!

yummy >> sorry to ask but how old your is lo?

yackerty >> hope you're alright and hope your ds recovers in time for the jo tomorrow! I think dd will only be in May's edition of Junior mag... not sure, so fingers crossed will be this one!

Hi Yummymummy- I have had the same experience as you. Was with Norrie Carr and found them very standoffish. Had few castings but got the idea they were just sending ALL the kids in her age group so never really stood a chance!
I always got the feeling they didnt like you bothering them with questions and felt like they were never listening to you.
Now Bizzykidz- I have found them excellent. Been with them just under a year and have had quite a few jobs.
When you go on a casting there are only a few kids so have more chance of getting.( 2 castings and 2 jobs) so not bad. Plus 3 shoots just from confirmed bookings without seeing her.
I much prefer this as having 3 children do not want to traispe around London a few times a week for castings.
My DD has just been confirmed for another magazine job in a couple of weeks. (Had casting for this one) so proves their methods of not keep sending lots of children to jobs they are probably not right for does work.
As yummymummy said also I have NEVER spoken to anyone rude from Bizzykidz. Any emails i have sent have always been replied to within hours. Also updates I have sent have been changed the same day.
What I also like is when they get a job or casting they are very informative re directions (especially if like me not very good at the tube map!!).
In my opinion give your agency time and if they have taken your child on be sure that they are doing their upmost at all times to find them work.(As that is how they make money).
Good Luck to everyone x

Perfumelady - XFM Radio....they are dressing babies up as rock stars for a photgrahic ad!!

Yummy- I make you right, everyone has different opinions about different agencies....i think that if you get on well with your agent that is half of the battle - although I get the impression that BK have a LOT of babies which makes it harder for them all to get work!!!

Totally- you are more dedicated than me....i couldn't do a 3 hour travel for a casting!! Hope she gets it....then she can pay you back for the train fare!!!

Izzi - I PMed you...

yackertyyack · 28/02/2006 12:38

SORRY....didn't mean to keep repeating myself!!

perfumelady · 28/02/2006 12:41

yummymummy321 did you see my last post? was it you? while we were at the unilever casting there were three people there from busy kidz what time did you go? (also saw mot, norrie carr, and u/a)

i agree with your last comment i think we all know that your agency can't guarntee your child work but as parents i think deep down we all think that our child will get work so when they don't it's disappointing, i think we automatically blame the agency, thats human nature. i think the problem is there are too many agencies to choose from, which is why forums like this are a god send and yes your going to get people saying they were spoken too in a rude way or child didn't get any work, but people have a right to post there experiances good or bad and i don't think a few posts expressing people's bad experiances are going to damage bizzy kidz name, it has been strongly highlighted that b/k do get regular work for some of there children which at the end of the day is good to know. i expect many other agencies have been slated on this and other forums in the past but it really just highlights the fact that we may all not get work.

perfumelady · 28/02/2006 12:43

yummymummy321 ignore the beginning of my last.you already answered my question.

LBrook · 28/02/2006 12:54

Isn't it funny how nobody ever speaks well about BizzyKidz and they out of a sudden we have two mums that had "great experiences" with them? Sorry but I don't buy that at all.

I was with BK for a very long time and my ds never had anything, I have quite a few rude e-mails from their lovely head booker Debi that I kept in case I need. We're now with another agency and ds has done a few jobs with no casting or anything, in the first three weeks of joining them.

I know other 23 mums that are in contact with the DTi, 23... I also know that are quite a few mums in this forum that also had problems with them.

I do not buy any of this, mums please be aware, this is only my personal opinion but do a lot of research before going with BizzyKidz, you'll see I'm not the only one.

izzyrubi · 28/02/2006 12:57

2ManyPimms >> Also thought about you, e-mailed you back!!

Yackerty >> Who do you think ds will be? I'd be so curious, not sure if I'd be able to wait and see!!!
