POP IDOL, anyone watch tonight? Darius, Rik and et al

Just finished watching Pop Idol. Big Rik was basically told he's too big to be an idol.

Darius performed again but I was most impressed by Aaron the lovely Geordie so he got my vote.

Yes. Everyone vote Will!!! We can't let Gareth win. Did anyone else read the interview in Heat mag by Gareth's mum. She said that Will's family never clap for Gareth and she things there out of line.

Yes Pamina. Its interesting to wonder which way the Darius voters will go. There is over a million of them out there.
My theory is they are more likely to vote for will. Because I think you either love Gareth or you don't.
It is clear that will is more talented and I don't think the Darius voters will want Gareth to win just for his pretty boy looks.

This is what I love! A bit of educated debate on a subject of national importance
Apparently, Gareth's mother was misquoted, or so Will said on "Pop Idol Extra" on Saturday.
Is anyone else sad enough to watch the "Extra" prgrammes on ITV2? They're my favourite!
Everywhere I've been over the last couple of days, people are talking about this - fab

Emsiewill, this is serious stuff! Much better than Big Brother - they are all just a bunch of talentless layabouts.

But isn't Gareth just what a stereotypical manufactured pop idol is supposed to be? The fact that he can sing (only ballads, it seems) is way down the list of pop idol requirements, it surely has to be teenage sex appeal when all is said and done.

As for Will, yes he REALLY CAN sing, but always the same type of songs - and doesn't he just remind you of the Joker out of Batman - that grin??

Another one for Will here and Jodee my dh said he looked the Joker as well. Having never seen Batman other than the cartoon I couldn't say. On GMTV this morning when I switched on the location heading was Will's Camp! Emsiewill I'm sad as well because I switch over to Extra. Have you noticed that Gareth doesn't have any problems with his speech on that channel. Now all he keeps on saying is 'I never thought I would get this far with my speech and all'. Talk about flogging it for all its worth.

At the risk of repeating what someone else has said 'cos I haven't got time to read everything I have noticed that whenever Gareth gets dodgy comments from the judges his stammer is noticeably worse. I did feeel sorry for him at the beginning but I think he uses it when it suits him and how's he going to cope with interviews etc if he's picked? He is a typical little girls idea of a pop idol whereas some of the others had a somewhat broader appeal to us more mature ladies! I would vote for Will but unfortunately will be on the piste!

I read that Gareth has had to pull out of his promotional tour today as he is unwell. Wonder if it was becuase he was due to do a live radio interview with Foxy? Hopefully Will will (!) reap the benefits of this, as did Darius when Rik had a sudden attack of soarethroatitus...

How on earth could gareth do a live interview on radio??
That would have been toe curling embarrasing.
I know its not his fault he has a stammer and I do feel for him but he is putting himself in these situations.
He can't back out of every interview if he wins.
Did anyone see his interview on This Morning. I missed it.

Vote Will ! Gareth is cute enough (if you like that sort of thing) but Will has charisma and charm,and a fab voice. I have to leave the room or hide my head under a cushion when Gareth tries to speak -
