Just so you know this is the reply I got

"Further to your recent e-mail regarding the 30ltr pedal bin, we would normally need a receipt as proof of purchase. However, we could send City Link to collect the bin from you and return to us for inspection. Thereafter a decision will be made as to our course of action.

Could you please let me have your telephone number together with a convenient date for collection of the bin."

and this is the reply they got

"Thank you for your reply.

To be honest I would rather not mess about with passing the bin on to you and being without. It still stands and hold a bag, I suppose that will have to do. I do however have to point out to you that I have had 2 friends who have contacted you in the past, both for a similar problem. One was offered a replacement pedal and the other whose bin was rather old was given a replacement. Neither had to provide proof of purchase nor did they have to send you their broken bin. But if your customer services work on a "one rule for one and a different for another" basis then so be it. I will remember for future purposes, if a friend or other family member are thinking about purchasing a brabantia, I will tell them not to bother.

Thank you for your time."

Who the f* wants to send the bin away? Surely that costs the company more than just sending out a pedal.
