I am absolutely completely 100% delighted for you and all other up-duffed WIITS

I am delighted for every single pregnant person who I know in RL too Smile (would just like to join them)

bebejones · 20/08/2012 21:37

I too am utterly delighted for diffed WIITs and delighted for RL diffed friends too, just wish it was me! Wink

End of the month marks my 3 year anniversary of 'waiting', and I think I'm likely to be waiting for another 3 years. 3 years ago we were waiting becasue DH 'wasn't ready' things are so much more complicated now!

Quodlibet · 21/08/2012 12:51

Sad for Bebe's 3 year anniversary and Sad for complicated life.

In the spirit of celebrating change, DP is now (by some miracle) very enthusiastically participating in TTC - what a difference a few months makes! Although I am planning a trip to the doctors to discuss my weird cycles/spotting as I am concerned now. I added up that it's been 5 cycles of pretty well-timed trying which I know isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things but is long enough for me to worry a bit. Minipie you had spotting too didn't you?

I can't believe all these WIIT babies are nearly 1 either. Where does time go??

Quodlibet · 24/08/2012 11:17

So after more worrying mid-cycle spotting I have been to the doctor armed with many charts and she (after a quick gander of my nethers) has said that the reason for my spotting at odd times is a cervical ectropian (or cervical erosion) and nothing to worry about - phew! Glad DP made me go.

nannyl · 24/08/2012 12:13

phew... good to hear that all is well Quod

No news here, except i had a smear a couple of days ago...... was rather bizarre as the nurse could not understand how i have not had a period, am not on "hormonal contraception" yet was 100% certain i was definitely NOT pg!
Was also quite pleased to be told i have a very strong pelvic floor Smile

So does anyone have any plans for the long weekend?

We are enjoying a quietish weekend at home.... plan to sort the garage, get stuff in the loft and also sort the boxes in the snug, as hopefully within the next 2 weeks we will have a sofa for that room, and there is currently no where to put it.
Also my friend who got married last week and her DH are coming round Sunday evening & staying over before they head home on Monday, so that will be nice

We havent had a "quiet weekend at home" since, May, and i think our 1 "quiet" weekend then, involved packing / sorting!

Quodlibet · 27/08/2012 12:27

Well I spoke too soon! AF turned up again, meaning this month's cycle was 21 days long. The last 4 have now been 38 days, 31, 22 and 21 which is really not very normal. I am really worried about this now - my biggest fear has always been waiting to conceive for ages and then my fertility going off a cliff once we start. I know it might just be 'one of those things' having these stupid irregular cycles but also I am now hugely concerned that it's something horrible and hard to treat - PCOS, thyroid, endo or (shudder) perimenopause. I don't want to be in the infertility club!!!

Sorry for the me me me post but I've managed to get myself horribly wound up about it now. To make things worse DP is away with work now until Wednesday too.

Hope everyone else has had a better weekend than mine Sad.

bebejones · 27/08/2012 15:46

Oh Quod

My last few cycles have been, 32, 20, 26, 27, 24, so not overly 'normal' either. Not much comfort I know, but try not to panic. Stress, tiredness, illness can all be a factor. Did the GP say anything about the irregular cycles or just the mid-cycle bleeding?

I have been lurking a bit, but just been so busy having DD at home 24/7. Roll on Sept 19th when she has her first afternoon at school!! Eeeeek!! She looks SO grown up in her uniform! :(

Quodlibet · 27/08/2012 16:26

Thanks Bebe. I have just been looking over my calendar and even though I think I haven't been stressed, the last couple of months have included a lot of work pressure and burning the candle at both ends/travel, plus a birth, a death and a marriage. It is comforting to have someone put it into perspective as a normal effect, even if it's not normal for me. At least one thing I can do is try to reestablish a bit more of a normal routine for myself.

19th Sept is a late start, no? Must be so weird to think of her starting school, but you must be also really proud to have made someone who's ready to be that independent and to take on that new adventure? I'm sure it will be very odd trying to get used to the change for you all at first.

nannyl · 27/08/2012 16:49

Quod, hope your next few months are less stress / eventful

Bebe, cant believe P is starting school. I am absolutely dreading that day (though have thankfully I have 4 more years left to wait)

We have had a nice weekend, We have also sorted everything from the garages to the loft. Friends came to stay, we went for an "off road" walk this morning, with the mountain buggy followed by pub lunch
Came home and Anneka has learnt to crawl this afternoon and done her first wee on her potty!

bebejones · 27/08/2012 17:27

Wowie Nannyl, go A!! Clever girl! Smile

Quod - yes tis a late start, they stagger the starts to 'help the children settle' Hmm and coz P is an August birthday she is in the last group (of 4) to start! (When there will already be 26 other children in the class, so have no idea how this 'helps' the younger children who apparently need more help Hmm Angry I shall stop now before I go off on a rant again!) She is my superstar and is beyond ready for the challenge of school!

It does sound like u have had a manic time lately, you need to take some time for YOU and try and find some time to wind down. x

bebejones · 04/09/2012 17:15

Where is everyone??? Hope all you lovely ladies are ok? x

minipie · 04/09/2012 17:42

hi bebe all well here, nothing to report! I am 26 weeks and looking quite huge, it's suddenly all expanded. Got another scan next week (as am at slightly higher risk of low growth) so get to see the bean again Smile

Is P looking forward to school? Does she know anyone starting with her eg from pre-school? Shame for her to start last but on the other hand it's not that much later than the others and at least the others will have got over their tears etc (hopefully!) by then. Agree I can't see how less time at school helps the younger ones though!

Quod sorry to hear about your cycle woes but could very well be stress as bebe says. By the way thyroid is not at all hard to treat, I got pg 1.5 months after starting the little thyroid pills, and PCOS doesn't always cause fertility ishoos ... hope it's not either of those though anyway.

nannyl hooray for A! and thanks as your post reminded me to do pelvic floor exercises (yawn)

nannyl · 05/09/2012 14:23

Not much to report here

poor A has got really nasty nappy rash which has just got worse and worse.... took her back to Drs (again) yesturday and its now become infected. Otherwise she is fine.... and can crawl faster by the day. Also she has had lots of nappy free time this past week or so and has been doing 2 - 3 wee's a day on her potty! (Im sure its luck, toilet timing not toilet training.

She is really trying hard to talk and copy sounds now... we have mama and dada as proper words and dogs (and many other animals) are a wuh, and sheep (and some other animals) are a bah.
She clearly said "nana" yesturday when i asked her if she wanted some banana Smile

I have left her with a freind (NCT with baby same age) this morning for the first time, while i had a filling [HATE dentists] but i was brave and A was good as gold apparently.

Leaving her again tomorrow at the creche at sure start, while i do a dead boring that im sure i have done via nannying course. Am doing it just so i get 12 weeks of free creche places, because i think she could do with a couple of hours a week away from me. Im trying not to stress about it as i will be in the same building, and the playroom is fantastic. I know she will have fun.

We have a fun weekend ahead, the penultimate of our summer of madness... we are going away for the weekend, bargain £40 sun holiday, to Filey, near Scarborough, and the weather looks like it might actually be nice Shock Grin so we can have some quality family time, and hopefully go to the beach. Also swimming, and to a farm near by, and we will probabaly visit Harrogate and / or York on the journeys.

The following week its our birthdays and we are hosting the NCT 1 year joint party, here at our house, and Annekas birthday party will be here on Friday. Guess i better get used to spending my birthday making Annekas birthday cake!

Then PEACE.... no more weddings / holidays / house moves, phew!

Quodlibet · 05/09/2012 22:32

Blimey Nannyl that all sounds hectic. Anneka sounds like she is smashing through the milestones, it must be so interesting and rewarding to see them change so fast.

Mini wow, can't believe you are 26 weeks already - where has the time gone? Thanks for the reassurance, it is appreciated. What was your thyroid issue and how did you know about it, if you don't mind me asking?

I am temping and opking this month in a bid to pinpoint what's going on. So far this looks like a much more 'normal' cycle, though I did get a random positive OPK on CD8 (which didn't result in a temp rise, so I presume just a LH peak), so I wonder if for some reason I just ovulated very very early last month - or tried to and then gave up!? Unfortunately, DP is now away and then I am away this weekend so I am pretty sure we are going to miss my most fertile days this month, bugger. It is a very nice change having him wholeheartedly on board though, meaning he is actually interested in things like OPK results...

Where has everyone else gone? It has been so quiet in here.....

LookAtHerGo · 06/09/2012 20:24

Quod, I'm glad things are looking up in terms of how your DP is taking to TTC now, I hope the temping helps you see what is going on.

Mini, I'm 17 weeks now, and measuring about 25!! Lol. But that's twins for you! It's great to see them again on scans, I loved the extra scans I had when pg with E.

Well done on the crawling there A, fun times nannyl.

Well we bought E's first shoes the other day, although they don't do them small enough in walkers so we've had to buy some cruisers just so she has protection outside. She's a 2! She's a climber, and there isn't much she can't climb onto, I thought my Mum's settee would be too high. No it isn't, she's only a diddy girl though, which means some things must be like mountains to her!

It's the big birthday on sunday Shock what a fab year it's been. :)

bebejones · 10/09/2012 19:35

LAHG - Did E have a good Birthday? How's you and the bump?!

Nannyl - It's so cute when they start 'talking'!

Quod - How's things?

Where is everyone???

I had lunch with a real life WIIT today! Went to see SPR and got to meet her gorgeous little girlie, had to take my monster who was monsterous!

Hope everyone is ok? x

Quodlibet · 11/09/2012 10:05

Happy belated birthday to E - hope she enjoyed it.
Wow a real-life WIITing! How exciting. Is that the first?

I've been away in France for the weekend on a (very pleasant) work-related trip, enjoying all the things that you can't do when pg - wine, oysters etc. Fortunately it looks like OV held off while I was away and now miraculously Mr Q and I appear to be in the same country, so we are making the most of it!!

Bebe - final week before P starts school no? Lots of friends littlies have started school last week or this week, it is funny hearing all their stories of first days, such an important time!

ShaggingProducesResults · 11/09/2012 11:08

Was lovely to meet Bebe and P yesterday. She wasn't monstrous at all!!Smile

LookAtHerGo · 12/09/2012 19:44

Hey bebe, yeah E had a good birthday, church in the morning. Yo! sushi for lunch with us and her auntie, then presents in the afternoon and chilled really. Me and bump are good thanks, starting to suffer a bit with my hips/pelvis but bump is fabulous :) glad you had a good WIIT lunch :)

Thanks quod, yeah I think she enjoyed it, but didn't really understand all the fuss. Enjoy all the SWI then :)

Well I had a WIIT meet earlier this year, strawberry, where is strawberry?

How are you SPR?

E s being a right chatterbox, doesn't make any sense, but she's making loads of noises. Her proper sounds like words are
Mummum - mum
Dada - dad
Nana - nan
Mow - moo as in cow
Bum - it really sounds like bum, but could be anything!
Maw - more
Nomaw - possibly no more
Oh and oooh - very frequently! Oh oh oh, ooh oooh, oooh. Grin

Then lots of other no descript noises, we're trying thank you and ta, she makes vague noises of that description.

Quodlibet · 13/09/2012 09:36

Ahh love the E dictionary! I remember my little sister as a baby having long gobbledygook conversations with us, it was so funny.

My little niece is going from strength to strength - sis has persisted despite some BF issues and has now I think mainly got over them. Baby has put on loads of weight and is changing so fast from dinky wrinkly newborn - she's smiling and becoming very aware of things now (8 wks). She is very sweet.

SPR how goes things with you?

bebejones · 17/09/2012 12:08

Right then WIITs, where are you all?! Wink

Harpie - how are you? What's new? How's things going with the MIL? Hope you are ok?!!

Strawberry - What's new with you and DD?

SPR - do you have the MN app yet?! Wink

Come on ladies, I can't be the only one with no life?!! Grin Wink

Quodlibet · 17/09/2012 21:13

I am still here! I have no life!! Grin

What's up in your world Bebe? Surely this is your Final Week of having P at home. Or did she start today? Does it feel odd?

My body has decided to behave extremely well this month and has produced a picture-perfect chart complemented by spme nice positve OPK sticks. DP took on RED ALERT sex week with an admirable amount of enthusiasm and commitment. So sitting out the 2ww hopefully - due on right in the middle of our holiday next week, which will either be rubbish or great. DP is off on tour again now for the best part of the next 2 months so I am finding ways to amuse myself in his absence.

bebejones · 17/09/2012 21:15

P starts school after lunch on Weds! She is SO excited!! Fingers crossed there are no tears...from her at least!! Wink

Fingers crossed also for your 2ww! Are you going anywhere nice on holiday?

Quodlibet · 17/09/2012 22:51

Oooh the final countdown! Do they ease her in with half days? Have you got any plans for what to do with your new-found free time?

My aunt has a place in France which she is very kindly lending us (lucky us) - looking forward to a week with DP away by ourselves. It feels like we both travel a lot but it's pretty much all for work and rarely together. So it'll be nice to chill out a bit just the two of us.

bebejones · 18/09/2012 08:37

She has a ridiculous schedule of half days and messing about for the first few weeks! Overkill really!! When she is full time (and probably after Xmas) I'll look into setting up my cake business properly...maybe!

Trip to France sounds lovely, some much needed time together no doubt! Smile
