If its not raining and comes up ( should be 110cm) will take some pics.. Today it has rained vertical horizontal and god the wind. We did wonder how many runners got blown off the liberty bridge in the marathon today..poor sods the earlier ones would have to had to run through the water as well.... We stayed at home had a yummy lunch ( but The beef was not as pink as it should have been) wine was great and so was lemon meringue pie ... With its 6 eggs !!!!!
However we have had lots of work fun with the weather and might have more if people don't fly domani with the hurricane....

Oh dear, sounds grim! Here extremely cold too, and temp went down in the space of a few hrs.

Glad to hear lunch went well, it must have been delicious.

We had lots of friends for brunch, but now i feel a bit nauseous, i hope it s not a bug.

Buona settimana!

Rosa · 30/10/2012 06:21

Awwww Rosa, sounds like heaven! How's the weather there? It is bit foggy here today (but I like it) and yesterday it was a glorious day of sunshine.
Me and dh left the dc with nonni and went to Aqui Terme, which is lovely and ended the day buying chocolate.

Rosa · 05/11/2012 06:29

Beautiful whilst we were there , terrible driving up and down - however a lovely break we spent too much on food and wine.
Oggi minirosa is 4 .... Remember my posts 4 years ago on am I in labour or not ...mamma mia time has flown. DH is at work and will be back later she hasn't asked about presents yet , as we want her to open them later when we are all together. Her party is next weekend, today 2 friends are coming to play which could be interesting!!

I do remember!!! Auguri Minirosa, have a lovely 4th birthday!!!
I am sure she will have a great time with her friends.

Sputnik · 05/11/2012 09:55

I remember too, time flies!
We also had a good time in Toscana, it did rain quite a bit but we managed to get out too, and had a Halloween party.
Beautiful cake Merlin, hope it all went smoothly.

MerlinScot · 05/11/2012 14:28

Hello everybody!!
Thanks for the explanation Franca!! :)
Rosa, glad you are in Tuscany at this moment, surely it is a lot warmer than here. My mum was under a blanket all time during the 5 days she spent up north for my wedding LOL
Yeah Sputnik, everything went smooth, thank God!! I went all emotional while exchanging the rings (had to ask my mum for a tissue!!) but my wedding day was really great. Well apart from the weather, of course, but you can't hope to have 25 degrees and sunshine in Scotland... in October LOL

Francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2012 16:31

Glad to hear everything went smoothly Merlin and that you had a lovely day!

I don't know what to do. The English teacher is here and ds is in the toilet (having yet another poo, he poos 1000 times a day, given that he eats like a pig) and singing the Rolling Stones very loudly... I feel very Blush

BananaGio · 05/11/2012 17:27

Grin Franca. At least he has good music taste!
Cake looked lovely Merlin, glad everything went well. Happy Birthday MiniRosa! How quick has that gone! Glad Toscana was fun. You have to spend too much on food and wine there, it is too good not to!
Have had ds off with febbre today. Think will be off tomorrow as well. Nuraflex wasnt doing much so gave him supposte which havent had to do for years. He freaked! Bribed him to take the 2nd dose with promise of spoons on Nutella but he was in floods of tears and has made me promise mai piu. They are bloody good though. 20 mins later and the temp is right down again and he is happily playing FIFA on my Ipad whereas before he was just limply laying there looking all feverish.

Francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2012 18:39

Povero ds, Gio. I hope he recovers soon. The good old supposta Grin, do you all remember all those threads about supposte we've been on?

Well, yes, he has good taste, we have brainwashed trained him well. Today they both surprised the English teacher (who is super lovely) by singing her a Gorillaz song...!

Francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2012 18:39

Ah, How are the prime elementari going?

BananaGio · 05/11/2012 18:54

ah yes supposte threads. Its been a while - maybe we should start one to liven up our evening. V impressed with Gorillaz as well. My brainwashing against dp's music (metal and heavy rock- NOT my thing) is working as ds keeps telling dp to put his headphones on. Backed up by me.
Prima going well. Loves it now and seems to be making quite a few friends. Was invited to play at ones on Saturday which he enjoyed. We went to a bonfire party after that on Saturday which was fab. Do love a good bonfire.

Francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2012 19:00

Yes, we should, a supposte thread or a bidet one.

Is your dh into those really obscure heavy metal bands or more ort of mainstream? I am quite partial to Guns and roses!

Happy to hear he is more settled at school and making new friends. Soon his social life will be hectic!

Awww bonfire nights! I sill remember fondly the one we had our last yr in the Uk.

My mum has just come back from a long weekend in London and brought me chocolate hobnobs! And the saturday guardian!!!

Francagoestohollywood · 05/11/2012 19:01

Did you actually have a bonfire in rome? How?

BananaGio · 05/11/2012 20:12

dh likes anything in that genre from guns and roses who I also like to some God awful obscure scandinavian death metal hideousness. Go on Franca dare you - start one up Smile
Bonfire was at the embassy. Its the one expat night of the year I go to as I normally avoid that scene but this is great.

Sputnik · 05/11/2012 21:40

Yes I could use a laugh too!
