sis has been having a dilemma over what to name her dd...she's fixed on emma but is wondering what to go with it for a middle name. she likes sophia but my dd already has that as part of her name...any ideas?
the father is half-german so maybe a nice name reflecting german heritage? however his mum is muslim so also any nice muslim names could be considered......
help!!

Well I am an Emma, and my middle name is Clair, but others that go I think are

Emma Rose
Emma Grace
Emma Louise

Emma Jane ! Definitely !

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/01/2006 11:14

Jane.
Mia
?

lua · 26/01/2006 11:17

Another vote for Emma Jane!

But she can also do "last name like" names, e.g
taylor... Those, I think, can go with anything!

curtains · 26/01/2006 11:19

I immediately thought of Emma Jane, goes really well together!

colditz · 26/01/2006 11:22

Emma Lynne

Bozza · 26/01/2006 11:28

Personally I'm not sure about Mia because it repeats the same sounds but most of the others work OK.

KBear · 26/01/2006 11:30

Emma Victoria?

(my DD before you slate it! ha ha)

acnebride · 26/01/2006 11:34

How about Emma Jasmin? I had a nice browse through \muslim-names.co.uk\this Muslim names site}. I think it is a bit of a problem that so many have 'a' at the end.

NorfolkTurkey · 26/01/2006 11:38

My DS is Emma Beth (I'm a Sasha!)

NorfolkTurkey · 26/01/2006 11:39

sorry meant to say my sister is Emma Beth

Next · 26/01/2006 11:42

Emma Jasmin is v pretty, AB

acnebride · 26/01/2006 11:45

yes i thought so
the site also has Jasmina but it's the 'a' thing for me

mommie · 26/01/2006 12:03

i like emma kate - i think (only my opinion obviously!) that a first name with two parts (em- ma)goes with a one part second name, it you get my gist. Emma Grace maybe? Emma Jane is nice, Emma Rose..

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 26/01/2006 12:04

Emma Louise
Emma Elizabeth
Emma Marie
Emma Joanne

saadia · 26/01/2006 12:06

Emma Yasmin

Emma Noor

Emma Aisha

going on the Muslim theme.

dejags · 26/01/2006 12:17

Emma Lilly
Emma Grace
Emma Beth
Emma Elizabeth

Fimbo · 26/01/2006 12:22

My immediate thought was Louise

lilibet · 26/01/2006 12:24

I like the Jasmin idea

Kazziegirl · 26/01/2006 14:33

I have an Emma and she is Emma Louise

tortoiseshell · 26/01/2006 14:36

Emma Sophie
Emma Katharine
Emma Juliet
Emma Frances
I personally would avoid Emma Lilly, because it sounds a bit like Emily (sorry dejags!)
