***PRODUCT REQUEST THREAD**** especially for MNers in countries where than cannot buy the things they crave!

Thought that the MNers with English cravings (or, obviously, the other way around, eg, an Amercian Mner in Britain, craving erm.. Hershey bars or whatever they're called..).. could post their cravings/wants/needs/desires on here... and that those of us willing and able could send them a portion/pot/bundle/box/jar/bag of what they desire!

Wasn't thinking of money changing hands.. just thought we could send the items in the usual MN spirit of sisterhood.. as we do.. (eg.. I wanted to send Pip some Marmite but Hasfrau said not to.. something to do with serial killers.. .. so I won't...)

Wilbur, there is a shop round the corner from me which sells some Polish foodstuff - do you want me to have a look? Am in N London btw!

eidsvold · 25/01/2006 21:12

sleepy Jess will ask dh if there is anything he wants sent and if you want yo - you can send it - how is that?!?!

eidsvold · 25/01/2006 21:13

I have been thinking about mcvities choc digestices and saw them in the supermarket the other day - yummy!!

MrsMills · 25/01/2006 21:15

JARM - you can get them in IKEA you know, the same make which is popular here. If you would like I could send you over the ready made mixture - you just roll it out, cut out the biscuits you want and bake them in the oven. However it will make your house smell completely edible!

CAT me if you want some!

SleepyJess · 25/01/2006 22:01

Eidsvold, yep that's great.. ask away Mr Eidsvold..

MarsOnLife · 25/01/2006 22:06

I love Bath and Bodyworks products. I don't know if you can still get them in England, but the stores are too far away.

In America now you can get them all over the place. I particularly like Juniper Breeze.

Nemo1977 · 25/01/2006 22:09

ooo i will post anything to anyone but fancy trying something from another country..not exactly sure what or where..lol

Squarer · 25/01/2006 22:46

Inspired thread SJ!

A couple of years ago, my brother brought me back a Nuby bottle with a soft teat like a cup spout on it. He now lives there but is unable to remember where he bought it from to buy me the requested more.... Think it is a man thing.

Any lovely American Mumsnetters able to help me out? If you can't think of anything you want but know where to get them, I can suprise you in return! (or will pay full costs)

eidsvold · 26/01/2006 00:56

starlover will try and remember to get some darrell lea next time I am near our closest one for you.

eidsvold · 26/01/2006 00:58

almost an angel we gave little jars of tiptree jams along with Twinnings tea and rock candy for the children as wedding favours when we got married..... I had tonnes of little jars etc all wrapped in my luggage praying they would make the trip okay and not smash in my clothes on the way to Australia...

Rojak · 26/01/2006 13:33

Noddyholder - I went into Sawyer's today and they don't have dulce (yet!). Lady in the shop said they would get some in in Spring when the weather got a bit drier. (Dry in Ireland???)

When I see it, I'll get some for you then.
