... it's all going pearshaped with Essbee's temporary living arrangements with her childfree sister.

What are her best options for finding cheap, short term accomodation??!

It's not long really - shame they can't sort this out

SoupDragon · 15/01/2006 15:18

Think she's trying The Stables in CDs link.

That was a find from CD - good nightly price when you split it up

spacecadet · 15/01/2006 15:21

WWW, sorry posts crossed.

SoupDragon · 15/01/2006 15:21

Have found direct phone number for the owner so she may be able to negotiate too.

CountessDracula · 15/01/2006 17:40

did she get it?

SoupDragon · 15/01/2006 18:12

She went home to talk to her sister and plans to phone tomorrow

She's off tomorrow to look at The Stables that CD linked to. Apparently they'll let her have it for something like £350 for a fortnight. and it's very close to te school

She says thank you very much to everyone!

mummytosteven · 16/01/2006 18:14

fingers crossed that the Stables is Ok. thanks so much for updating us

LIZS · 16/01/2006 18:24

oh bum hope she turns something up tomorrow otherwise perhaps she could ask the school secretary if she knows of anyone who does short term holiday rentals locally, even if they are normally closed at this time of year.

WideWebWitch · 17/01/2006 09:45

Soupy is she ok?

SoupDragon · 17/01/2006 09:53

Yes, she's fine. Ish going to see that holiday cottage today.

OP posts:
mummytosteven · 17/01/2006 09:56

thanks for the update. has she got a definite completion date for the new place?

SoupDragon · 17/01/2006 12:10

No definite completion date no. She moves into the holiday let place on Thursday/Friday though (and says a big thank you to CD and everyone else!)

OP posts:
spacecadet · 17/01/2006 12:11

thanks for letting us know soupy.

SorenLorensen · 17/01/2006 12:14

Not a good start - poor essbee. Her sister sounds...I will choose my words carefully...less than helpful. It was only for 2 weeks, for goodness' sake.

SoupDragon · 17/01/2006 12:15

I think there was a little niavety on both sides with how the arrangement was going to work out!

OP posts:
SorenLorensen · 17/01/2006 12:37

People with no kids eh? They don't know they're born

CountessDracula · 17/01/2006 13:09

Oh fantastic!

So glad she is sorted
