Mate on Facebook said that she felt like a real mum, now that she had cleaned up proper sick (!)
I have just sewn on my first name-tape and that really felt like a landmark moment...
What are yours?

So glad to hear all is well gaelic The fact he is well trained to stop probably did a lot of good keeping him safe even though he gave you a nasty fright. Probably testing those boundaries a bit and getting to know that the real boundary that matters is staying off that road ? Just some thoughts. HTH

Making fancy dress costumes at midnight armed with nothing but three pairs of old tights, some cardboard and a stapler. Grin

I had one yesterday. We were at church and there was a tin of cadbury's fingers in milk and white chocolate. My prime factor in choosing - white chocolate won't show up rubbed all over her cream jumper.

Loving this thread - made tears run down my face a few times!

Mine.. had one today - first time I have lovingly washed one of DDs favourite cuddly toys as it smelt of sick... :)

Apart from that - leaping to action the fisrt time she was ill.. and actually feeling like I knew what to do!

Watching Dirty Dancing and realising my whole perspective has shifted since becoming a Mum - I so wouldnt have been impressed with Jonny if Baby had been my baby....

Late to the party but a bad day has made me remember this thread and count my blessings.

All the first and milestones. I am a big softie and cry far more easily now.

My DS hated nursery and was upset for months. He used to find a pebble to give me at pick up. I have kept everyone and keep them in the bottom of my flower vase. There are manic times when I forget I am a mum for a nanosecond and his toys, art and pebbles remind me of how lucky I am to be so busy.

The alarm also reminds me I am a mum; it rings to signal work must stop and I need to dash off for the school run.

Sorry I should have said all landmarks that make you feel like a "real" mother. First nativity coming up .

I have answered as if I regularly forget I have a child Confused. There are occasions when it isn't at the front of my mind; my whole heart is full of him though.
