Hello Ladies,

Here is the 4th WIIT thread for our enjoyment.

Stats will have to follow at a later date, as I can't check back to see where everyone is accurately at the moment.

Get posting and lets see where this thread takes us. :)

Good heavens hello stranger! Sounds like you've had one hell of a last five months. Glad to hear that things have got a little easier for you recently. It's lovely to hear from you and good to hear that Teddy is doing well, even if it is hard work.

No news from me apart from I have a new job which seems to be going ok after a rocky start. Don't miss my horrible old boss at all! Grin

DH sort of had a MURCOM but he seems to have cooled off a bit since. We're off on The Big Trip three weeks tomorrow. After that we are supposed to TTC. Who knows what will happen in reality!

minipie · 13/04/2012 11:15

Hello WhyWait! What a time you've had... glad you are coming out of the other side of it though.

Any photos? these WIIT babies are always gorgeous...

Update:

bebe is still working on persuading her DH (and her DD is getting in on the act too)

Quod is TTCing

100 is TTCing, clearly one very cute baby is not enough for her Wink

I am updiffed! about 6 weeks so early days ... but v excited.

harpie what do you mean your DH has cooled off after his MURCOM...?!

leftwingharpie · 13/04/2012 16:50

Yay! 6 weeks - great news MP. Stickier every day!

The MURCOM will hopefully stick but it would have taken a MURCOM of earth shattering proportions to cause DH to throw caution to the wind 4 weeks before I become eligible for the maternity package!

minipie · 13/04/2012 17:46

Ahhhh yes that would make my DH (and probably me) reckon it's worth waiting a month, esp with TBT coming up. Hopefully once TBT is done and finances work then he will be up and at'em. As it were.

Murcom is something like Male Unexpected Rapid Change of Mind!

Thanks for the congratulations and the sticky thoughts Smile I haven't got the 12 week scan booked yet, I need to phone the midwives on Monday. Due date is 8 December ... so a Christmas baby!

Quodlibet · 14/04/2012 13:25

Hey WhyWait, sorry to hear you've had such a hard one of things but good that you seem to be coming out the other end of it.

Minipie glad to hear all is still progressing well. Have you had MS yet?

Harpie your trip is so soon now! Can't believe all these milestones are nearly here!

Saw my sis and her big bump this week - she grilled me about when we will TTC - I stayed reasonably vague and said that we'd start after DP's launch (which is next Monday, FINALLY) and once my summer season is out the way. Think my sis might have got the idea from somewhere that we've been trying ages with no success for some reason. Dunno why but I CBA to go into all the details with her! Very strange feeling niece kicking away in there though - she's 26 weeks now, it's gone so fast.

Quodlibet · 14/04/2012 13:26

What's everyone doing this weekend? I've got I keep working on my chapter which is nowhere near finished yet :(
DP is away still so I'm treating this weekend like a work weekend and 'earning' myself a day off when he's back.

leftwingharpie · 14/04/2012 19:28

Quod how is she feeling about the pg now? What's happening with her studies? Is her DP excited?

Well DH has had another about turn. He is worried about my job security and wants to put off TTC until I've been in post for a year. Meanwhile MIL is putting pressure on me to trick him and demanding to know the details of why that's not possible. Apparently his father didn't want DC either!

Quodlibet · 14/04/2012 21:05

Harpie she's going to complete her NQT year. Her boyfriend has done a 180 degree turn and is fully excited (though my sis reckons he's got not the slightest inkling of what it's actually going to be like!). They are in the process of buying a flat. Had this contraceptive slip up not happened, they wouldn't have got around to any of this for years. It's all pretty rosy.

Your MIL is hilarious! Wow she's pretty involved! You have to think of your DH's back and forths not as major swigs between two points, but as ever decreasing circles towards a point of inevitability. Your MIL might be right with her intuition that he'll never be 'sure' before the moment of conception.... Not was my sister's boyfriend. Maybe some people never will be. I think more and more you've got rational, emotional and biological bits of your brain all fighting it out of the TTC issue and they may never be fully in agreement with each other, let alone with your partner's brain!

leftwingharpie · 14/04/2012 21:19

Quod you give such sensible sage advice you should quit your job and become a celebrity agony aunt!

Quodlibet · 14/04/2012 21:45

Haha. If only I could advise myself to get on with writing this bloody chapter and stop f*ing about on MN.

leftwingharpie · 15/04/2012 13:06

Yes get on with your work!

Yes even if MIL's involvement is barking, at least she agrees with me that DH is super afraid of change and needs a push, rather than he doesn't want DC. She also said as soon as I am pg he'll be delighted, it's just the FOF. Which is what I thought but good to get it confirmed by someone who is just as close to him iyswim? She gave the example of when we got our first flat, basically I went and took the lease on my own cause DH was dragging his feet. As soon as we got moved in he loved having his own place.

leftwingharpie · 15/04/2012 13:08

Pretty decent of her to say that actually as we moved out of hers into the flat. She's a good MIL.

strawberrypie · 15/04/2012 19:24

I'm laughing at the MIL wanting details of why exactly you can't trick DH!!!! Whoa there! She's not afraid of getting right into the nitty gritty is she? I'm glad she's on your side though- has she spoken to DH about it at all?

leftwingharpie · 15/04/2012 21:18

Yes and my mother's stuck her oar in as well!

100years · 15/04/2012 21:35

Well hi folks. :)

FFS harpie at your DH having another turn. Off and on more times than a tart's knickers Wink

Hey WW good to see you in here again. :) E is just a smidge over 7 months, yes we are TTC again, we have been taking a 'see what happens' approach since 4 weeks for some time, but are trying a bit harder know, I've had several periods, don't know if I'm ovulating as I'm still bf a lot, and ebf to 6 months, but I'm sure in time we will find out! We are very happy with E and love her to bits, if it doesn't happen for ages or at all we will still be happy with only having One, but we would like another one. Sorry you had a rough few months, I'm glad things are more settled now though for you. Stay in here when you can. :)

Mini, glad you are now past 6 weeks :) will you wait for the NHS scan or are you thinking of a private one before then to put your mind at rest? I kind of wish I had paid for an earlier scan as I found the wait to 12 weeks really hard.

Sorry I think I've missed a few posts.

E is much better, think it was just an oddity somehow. Not sure if it was banana that made her puke like she did, will try it again in a few days and see if it has the same effect.

Had some terrible nights sleep with her recently, ho hum, Friday was the worst, in fact I don't recall her being awake as much even whe. She was a newborn! But gave her some porridge for supper last night, kind of loaded spoons, but with me in more control of where it went than usual with the blw and she slept really well, still woke but a lot less, so we're trying it to see if it that she is hungry through the night, and if it settles her, she's been feeding loads in the night recently, so we'll see if it helps or if it was co-incidence!

I might POAS in the morning... I'm sure that's enough to grab someone's attention. Had weird nagging pains for a few days like period pains but no period, and well you know, it's about time I checked. I had a boo hoo moment yesterday, my OH said he hadn't had to do the boo hoos with me for ages, think that was when I was pg with E. No other symptoms, and given I was so sick last time please don't hold all your hopes on it.

100years · 15/04/2012 22:10

Hee hee harpie and bebe

Title suggestions.

MURCOMs galore, in the 5th WIIT thread, we logic explore.

5th WIIT thread conquers the world of many excuses.

5 times more WIIT from some very lovely ladies.

Hmm nighttime may not be my best thread title time. I shall sleep on it. But I kind of like 1 and 3, but 3 the most.

OP posts:
leftwingharpie · 15/04/2012 22:39
