Hello Ladies,

Here is the 4th WIIT thread for our enjoyment.

Stats will have to follow at a later date, as I can't check back to see where everyone is accurately at the moment.

Get posting and lets see where this thread takes us. :)

Thanks for the link bebe, I love looking at your fabulous cakes! You are super talented! I think people would pay a lot of money for table decorations like those, have you considered doing wedding fayre type things with samples to show people what you can do?

My mind is whirling with thoughts of both Quod and Harpie being with child!

The face planting sounds horrible 100! All art of the learning curve though I suppose. She'll be walking before you know it :)

leftwingharpie · 26/03/2012 07:58

I am not with child! Honestly! Grin

Quodlibet · 26/03/2012 09:56

Don't think I am either - dug out my thermometre and this morning's temp was distinctly pre-O, so think maybe the OV stick was confused?

leftwingharpie · 26/03/2012 13:14

Less than 6 weeks to TBT I better not be. The national park stops have been reinstated and everything!

Quodlibet · 27/03/2012 15:59

So the thing we dreaded is happening. DP's financial backers have essentially pulled the plug, which means that his launch next month - 3 years work - will potentially just limp out rather than being promoted effectively enough to be successful. There is no future certainty about anything at all. Just want to cry. There's just such a lot riding on it all. Feel like this is potentially the start of one big fucking nightmare.

strawberrypie · 27/03/2012 16:31

Shit quod, hope you are ok x

leftwingharpie · 27/03/2012 17:52

Bloody hell quod that's absolutely terrible news. Your poor DP must be gutted. Is it quite definite? Are the funders not tied in to any degree at all?

bebejones · 27/03/2012 19:08

Oh no Quod!! You have all my sympathy, I know about this kinda situation all too well. :( Do they have no contractual obligation at all to see it through? Is it too late for another backer to take it on? Is there any other way to finance it?

100years · 27/03/2012 21:28

Harpie, a) how can you be sure you aren't diffed? Has AF started? b) I know if you were it would mess things up for TBT and work maternity pay. c) re your friends and their baby, it can be hard work, or it might not, there are things that are difficult/tiring with E, but I wouldn't class it as hard work. d)

Quod :( Big crap situation for you at the moment :( Don't know what to say that might help.

bebe, I know what you mean about body giving into tiredness, it seems to always be the way that you get ill when you get the chance to relax.

strawberry, I know! I am trying hard to keep up with her, but she is changing every single day! She's standing using loads of things to help her up now, and we even found her stood in her travel cot today (using it as a play pen!) She had stood up by pressing on the sides! Shock How is your little E getting on?

Tis bonkers in the 100 household. In a good way though. LO is trying to climb everything to stand! She tried to get into her bouncy chair today, or at least it looked like it the way she was going. Eating is hit and miss at the moment, but that's OK, these things take time. She experienced grass for the first time yesterday and just sat and played with it between her fingers for a while before playing with the toy we had outside. She's not sleeping very well at the moment, but I'm hoping sure it's a phase and will stop soon. And I think I am mid cycle, keeping fingers crossed I'm now ovulating and that we SWI at the right time. I shouldn't be thinking like this yet, I wanted a chilled out approach to number 2, but I've started wondering about x y and z, that is not to say I'm not appreciating everything with E, I totally am, so it's weird. But hey, I'm weird at times!

leftwingharpie · 28/03/2012 08:49

You do make a good point. I can't actually know for sure I'm not diffed. But I don't feel motivated to test. Based on when I think I OV AF would be due on about 31 March, so if I go beyond that I might start to worry.

It sounds like E is lots of fun and bringing you a lot of pleasure and happiness. No wonder you are growing more keen on the idea of a playmate for her every day!

Quid I love to hear about my friends two and three year olds expressing their frustrations as they learn that there are limits to even adults ability to control and manipulate the physical environment. Like the irreparably cutted up pear, or the beastly cheese that wouldn't remain solid in hot soup!

leftwingharpie · 28/03/2012 14:00

Sounds a bit more positive for your DP. Hope things come good.

leftwingharpie · 28/03/2012 14:07

Hey up we're in Active Convos! It must be a slow day on MN!

bebejones · 30/03/2012 16:36

Not in active convos anymore...where did y'all go?! Hope everyone has had a good week?

Quod, how's things looking now?

Harpie - any sign of AF or are you updiffed?! Wink

Quodlibet · 30/03/2012 17:36

Ooooh yes Harpie will be updiffed by tomorrow!

How's your week been Bebe? Same same here, DP is pretty chirpy but I'm never sure whether that's a reflection of the situation or just his natural blind optimism (fundamental in enabling him to do what he does!)

My exciting news is that I am borrowing a friend's dog to keep me company while DP is away - hurrah! She is very sweet.

leftwingharpie · 30/03/2012 17:59

Ha ha. No sign of AF, but no pg symptoms either. Will test tomorrow if you are all good.

Quodlibet · 30/03/2012 18:49

eeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Sorry. Will contain myself.

leftwingharpie · 30/03/2012 19:09

That is not being good!

leftwingharpie · 30/03/2012 19:12

At CD39 and 23 days post OV you'd expect more symptoms surely?

bebejones · 30/03/2012 19:55

Oh CD39, is that all, test if you want, I mean...if you think it's necessary! Wink Sssssssshhhhhhhh!!!

My weeks been a bit dull really, made alot of cakes (nothing new there) DH went away on a course overnight which was weird, DD finished preschool for 2 weeks the cat has driven me up the wall....same ol' same ol'! :o

100years · 30/03/2012 21:24

Sorry but harpie.... JFPOAFSPFFSDIN

To translate that's just fing pee on a fing stick please ffs do it now!!!!

But I'll wait patiently till tomorrow :)

And back to the other matters

I have an iPad. In fact I'm posting off it now Grin woohoo

Thanks for the comments about E and what I wrote. I'm really loving this.

Bebe more fab cakes there missus :)

Quod enjoy having the dog to look after.

I think we will be moving e into her own room next week. I was all fine about it until I went and put her to bed tonight when I got all silly and had a few tears and thougt maybe we could leave it longer. Gah. I love having her next to me, but as yet she's still not sleeping through and I don't know if that is just the way she is or if we are disturbing her etc. we'll give it a little test run and go from there. I love the fact she's so close and I'll be a bit upset when she's in a different room, but you have to do it at some point. Eep.

OP posts:
strawberrypie · 30/03/2012 22:40

I'm having the same dilema 100. When Emma is 6 months we plan to move her into her own room but it seems really weird to think about it. On the up side, lots of people report sudden onset of the mystical 'sleeping through' when they are in their own room, don't they? FX

Can't wait until tomorrow when Harpie will be officially up the duff :)

leftwingharpie · 30/03/2012 23:15

No she will not!

bebejones · 31/03/2012 07:41

:o
