Oh and that rubbish about not having a 3rd angel baby - rubbish mate - all 3 of mine have slept through the night from about 2 weeks old. I kid you not. Have easily and successfully potty trained 2. Touch wood, I've had no issues with any of my 3, and who cares anyway, they are all totally gorgeous and there is nothing like seeing them all running up and down the hallway screeching with delight - especially when one is only 16 months and toddling along after his brothers. I tell you, there is nothing like it!!

Twiglett · 12/12/2005 22:15

you aren't helping here

You'll LOVE it!!!

We had friends over yesterday - a couple who have no kids yet. THey spent the whole day here and said 'your kids are a pleasure to be with' - hey, so it can't be that bad!!!

SackAche · 12/12/2005 22:20

AND the eldest will beable to change nappies by then.... the youngest will be fetching the wipes!

No?

Is that not how it works?

HunkerXmasAndAMunkerNewYear · 12/12/2005 22:21

GDG, remind me not to read any posts from you about how delightful your children are together Want an armrest, I tell you!

Bloody hell again - I sound MENTAL!

(They sound SO sweet - I almost want three! Dammit dammit dammit! Nooooooo!)

thecattleareALOHing · 12/12/2005 22:23

You certainly don't look fat to me. You love your children, your children are lovely. You should IMO have another child and make me insane with envy (I say this despite the fact that dd is still bloody awake and I've told dh she's his daughter and to deal with her!). The only real problem is your dh, the rest is trivia. What do you think would change his mind? Have you tried crying?

ambercat · 12/12/2005 22:24

I love having 3 even though only planned 2.

The older 2 adore their little brother, it is hard wor k though , does'nt stop me thinking about no4 !(need to convince dh!)

HunkerXmasAndAMunkerNewYear · 12/12/2005 22:24

PMSL at "have you tried crying" - Aloha, you're a shocker

Roobietherednosedreindeer · 12/12/2005 22:27

Can you not 'have an accident'?
... noooooo didn't suggest that ...trust and respect between husband and wife and all that....

thecattleareALOHing · 12/12/2005 22:28

The ailments sound ghastly tbh - didn't read the rest of the thread before posting. Certainly didn't want to imply that blind in one eye is trivia. Is your dh frightened that something might happen to you?

I love it when dsd is here. I would have preferred to have more children, even though I am knackered beyond belief by my hideous non-sleeping offspring.

thecattleareALOHing · 12/12/2005 22:28

Hey! Crying worked for me

SnowQueenVictoria · 12/12/2005 22:33

Well, DP was against three but since the diagnosis of my pnd he is for some reason under the impression () that its partly because of my wanting a third child, and is now not discounting it so much as saying "when" we have no. 3.

Now im not suggesting anything here Twiglett but i think Aloha has a point...................

LadyTophamInAChristmasHatt · 12/12/2005 22:34

Twiglett, IME that feeling doesn't go away until you actually have No.3.

DH had soooo many Cons about it but for every one he had I had Pros 10 fold.
This sound dramatic but for me it was all I could think, every minute of everyday. I'd think about cooking for 3 kids, the school run with 3, the car, the sleeping arrangemts, I looked for outfits that I'd buy for the baby when it was born. I found Mumsnet by looking for double buggies before I was even PG!!!

I'd say if you really want one then have one. My Ds3 is the lovely, most gorgeous, funny, delightful liitle boy and I'm thankful every day that DH changed his mind.

SackAche · 12/12/2005 22:38

Just to make matters worse for you Twig.... my Mum had her 3rd at the age of 37. Then went onto have a 4th on her 40th birthday! She said it wasn't until her 4th was born that she finally felt that her family was complete and her childbearing days were over. She was sterilised 6wks after he was born!

I'm hoping that after my 3rd I get that overwhelming "PHEW" thank christ I don't have to do that ever again!!!

HunkerXmasAndAMunkerNewYear · 12/12/2005 22:40

Did anyone have the "phew" feeling whilst pg with number two and find that their family was complete with two or am I destined to hanker after a third?!

OMG - can't have three - can't even think of a name for number two, let alone a third one

Hunker - when dd was born I actually said THANK F**K in whilst they cleaned her up! I now had a ds and a dd and thought "what else do I want..... NOWT!"

Then......

She slept all night from 2 months old and I didn't have PND (as with ds). Nuff said, that was me hooked!

OnZephyrstDayofXmas · 12/12/2005 22:42

Hunker I wanted to be 'finished' at number 2. I tried my best to convince myself no more. Two is nice, one of each etc etc....... sold the moses basket, steriliser, the lot.... Now pg with number 3 I've got that 'phew' complete feeling..... just got no flipping baby stuff!!!!

SackAche · 12/12/2005 22:44

Zeph - But will you still have that PHEW feeling when your precious little angel bundle of joy and happiness is 2?

hub2dee · 12/12/2005 22:45

Awww, Twig... do you wanna just borrow one occasionally instead ?

FWIW, would 3 just be perfect, or would it open the door to 4 ?

Do you reckon mutual friend will knock out a third ? I do !

Your sofa is long enough, isn't it. That's a 'pro' point !

HunkerXmasAndAMunkerNewYear · 12/12/2005 22:45

Ohhh... [scared]

No, can't have the children outnumber us!!

QueensSpeechEagle · 12/12/2005 22:47

That's nothing......I'm hankering after a 6th!

dh keeps looking at me like I am a headcase!

SnowQueenVictoria · 12/12/2005 22:47

Have to say that i feel quite distraught at the prospect of never being pg ever again (even though i dont enjoy it and get ill) or ever going through labour/childbirth again. I dont feel like my last time should or is my last time IYSWIM.
