Ordered it and some accessories about 2 weeks ago, the accessories arrived really quickly but the castle still hasn't arrived, so I called them today and they have confirmed that the couriers they use have it listed as a missing item.

ELC accept liability and have offerred me a refund but I really want the castle for ds for Christmas and they've sold out They tried calling my 4 nearest stores but they have sold out too.

Am waiting for a manager to call me back as I am very cross

Am thinking I will ask them to call ever ELC until they locate me one. What do you reckon?

Be interesting to see what they charge us in the end.

northerner · 15/12/2005 19:23

No, I've kept the pirate stuff

Well my credit card bill arrived and they have charged me the full reduced price IYSWIM.

Rang up and told them that I had worked too Bl**dy hard on their behalf to be charged full price, even if it is a reduced price.

They said that there are some vouchers in the post, so we shall see, if they are enough for me to call off the dogs.

btw it sounds as if that pirate accessory set was a free gift with purchase of the pirate ship so may not actually have a retail value as such. All very well sending you vouchers Sherlock, but do you really want to buy anything from them again ?

Hulababy · 16/12/2005 17:12

Vouchers should be okay to use instore I should have thought.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 16/12/2005 17:13

Lizs

Well they kind of have the market cornered on a lot of stuff, so I probably will use them and if not I guess I can put them in a bithday card.

MarsyChristmas · 16/12/2005 17:29

I'm waiting to see if they realise they've boobed!

Having a similar problem with DS I ordered from Amazon (thankfully for Dh not DS). They confirmed then it kept being marked 'Payment not received'. i finally proved yesterday that payment was received by them weeks ago, they say to contact them if not posted by 18th but the screen still says delivery estimate 7-15th December, and if you look at that model DS they say no stock until mid Jan, so they're just fobbing me off I am sure. . Really was looking forward to giving it to DH, he sold his GBA early this year to pay bills as I didn't go back to work after maternity leave.

cupcakesbakingonanopenfire · 17/12/2005 16:41

northerner - didn't you say on Sunday that they were going to send you the ship at the same price? Isn't this their idea of compensation? I'm confused (and put off ordering from ELC!)

PeachyPlumFairy · 17/12/2005 17:00

RE my last message, can I point out it was a Nintendo DS! My DS's, obviously, did not come from Amazon

northerner · 17/12/2005 17:30

Cupcakes - thry offerred me the pirate ship as an alternative to the castle as thry were out of stock. Then they found a castle so the pirate ship was cencelled. They are sending me vouchers by way of apology. Now I have a casle and a pirate ship.
