Ds's ELC castle has gone missing during delivery. Furious.

Ordered it and some accessories about 2 weeks ago, the accessories arrived really quickly but the castle still hasn't arrived, so I called them today and they have confirmed that the couriers they use have it listed as a missing item.

ELC accept liability and have offerred me a refund but I really want the castle for ds for Christmas and they've sold out They tried calling my 4 nearest stores but they have sold out too.

Am waiting for a manager to call me back as I am very cross

Am thinking I will ask them to call ever ELC until they locate me one. What do you reckon?

The call centre were very helpful to me this morning. The young lady checked the Plymouth store, confirmed they had the castle and arranged for it to be taxied to my sister-in-law's place this morning. So I'm feeling much better about ELC. Hope you manage to track down your goods.

This is making me very cross

I was told yesterday that they could not get me a castle before christmas so they are sending me the pirate ship instead for the same price (they've knocked £10 off it.

Lady Sherock have you heard anything else?

What use is a s*dding pirate ship?? If you'd wanted a ship you would,I presume, not have ordered a castle and knights...?

If you feel like phoning either of the Croydon stores (Whitgift Centre and Debenhams - Debenhams better as I get a 12.5% discount in there ) I'll happily go and pick one up if they have it. Not sure what postage would be mind you...

The supervisor has assurred me there are none in any store in the UK.

Mine is arriving tomorrow morning, after 9.30 allegedly, I have been trying to manage his expectations until then. FGS I have to keep fudging the issue of writing to Father Christmas as I do not want him to ask for something Father Christmas can not deliver. Bloody Bloody

northerner i have the m and s wooden fort in my attic (brand new and boxed, bought before dd3 was born in case she was a boy lol) , if LGJ fort turns up, you can buy it off me for what i paid plus postage.

think i paid 15pounds for it, postage at a guess would be 10-15pounds, i can get it out the loft and do a picture for you at some point today (if i can get someone to hold the ladders for me).

Result. They have one in their sutton store.
They can not liase with ELC direct though - so I have to call them to tell them.

Sutton are saying they do not have the facility to post items though

Have just spoken to elc direct, some snotty cow who reckons they can not send me the one in Sutton. Apparrantly it's up to me to liase with the manager there and arrange to collect it.

She said 'we have done all we can by price matching the pirate ship and you accepted this'

FFS I accepted it because they told me there were no castles.

Northener - you need to try and escalate this - the call centre staff are just trained to try and get rid of the problem.

Ask to speak to the customer services manager and don't take no for an answer!

Make clear that they are under contract to provide you with teh castle that you ordered. The problem is theirs not yours!

Northener - do also make clear that they are currently receiving extremely bad feedback on a site with 30,000 parent users.

Also make it clear that through this thread it is obvious that their call centre staff have been lying to the customers in a concerted manner, which reflects very badly on teh business ethics of ELC.

Ask the manager if he would like to talk to your DS and tell him that he wont be getting his castle on Christmas Day

Also ask if he could give you some guidlines as to what to say on Christmas day, when your DS thinks that FC doesn't love him or that FC does not think he has been a good enough boy.

I rang up the early learning centre yesterday and ordered the pirate ship and pirate island.
The girl asked me to go on the internat to tell her what pages she could find them on. I said, well if i wanted to use the internet for ordering i wouldn't have rang.
Anyhow eventually after a completely incompetent phone call sounding like i was taking to a 15 year old who had got out of bed a few seconds before, the order was completed, but........

she forgot to hang up and i heard her chatting to her colleague, she said, fuck i really don't know what i'm doing , that was a nightmare i'm not even sure i did it properly, god knows if she will get her order.

I rang straight back just to confirm my order was taken, it was but i had two other things on my list that i hadn't even asked for. I cancelled them straight away.
