my washing machine is SO NOISY LATELY!!

me and DP cant hear each other at all once the machine is on and cant hear the telly either.. we bought it from the previous owner who lived here 2.5 yrs ago but the past couple of weeks its so bloody noisy... its still washed as normal and is not rattling around but just noisy!!

Sounds like you need to get it serviced - they're never quiet but you should at least be able to hear each other speak!

is it just one the spin? - ours is terrible on the spin - I assumed it was getting older

ooh don't know then it's not hotpoint is it by any chance? ours is an aquarious, been doing it for about 6 months loud on a spin esp fast spin - assumed it was old. (nr 3 yrs)

The shock absorbers on your drum need replacing!!!

If it happend when its spinning then its definately your "shockies"....they are on their way out and need to be replaced....the longer you leave it the more damage you will cause....DH is on a role here drawing diagrams showing me how they work!!! Ive got a washing machine nerd for a DH!!!!

sup - cos ours is the 1200 model aquarious, I thought it was the drum a bit 'loose' but as it washes fine assumed it was cos it was gettin old it's our first.

JM - can you pls ask your DH it is worth buying the shock absorbers or get a new washing machine?
