Being a bit nosey,so how much was it that you're wearing right now.The other day I wore over 100 pounds worth of outfit and another day it was only 20 odd pounds due to my mum giving me a top.Today I shall be mostly wearing something worth 89 pounds,a fat face sweat, jeans and new shoes 29 pounds in the sale.

Best advice I ever got was to divide the initial cost of a gharment by the frequency you wear it. This makes gorgeous but expensive everyday things seem cheap, and ballgowns etc seem expensive... so that new top I liked for £90, if I wore it about once a week for a year, would be £1.70... max, cos it would probably last longer than a year, now I've stopped growing

Have my best ever bargain on today. I am wearing a pair of See by Chole jeans. A new shop opened below our apartment recently. They were late moving so had to get rid of their summer stock quickly as their winter stock was being delivered so everything was 75% off. So my jeans should have been £134 and I got them for £35, then a £5 for alterataions as I am so short! So impressed as I never get bargains normally.

doormat · 10/10/2003 09:42

butterflumum I can be all those things, it depends on the mood you are in I think.

wobblyknicks · 10/10/2003 09:42

binker · 10/10/2003 10:58

today I'm wearing an ancient Gap t shirt, a pair of new Gap cords (bday present)£44, a White Stuff cardigan (£40 something) and a pair of Campers on my feet- so roughly about £160' s worth of clothes. I have a friend who has a personal shopper at Harrods and is always dressed very expensively, so I usually feel very scruffy. My favourite clothes are usually the well worn and threadbare ones !

codswallop · 10/10/2003 10:58

I have the cords too in indigo - am wating to get the dark red ones if they reduce them!
