harpsichordcarrier · 17/11/2005 15:30

yes
good chrimbo name though
haven't read the thread but ITS THE SAME FOR WOMEN TOO IME

motherinferior · 17/11/2005 15:43

Yep, totally, I remember from my single at conference days.

Mind you I asked DP - not particularly seriously - if he was going to be surrounded by attentive young women mesmerised by the size of his budget at a conference recently (he doshes out money as part of his job) and he said, with the sincerity of a parent, that thank you very much he was going to head for a glorious early and undisturbed night

oliveoil · 17/11/2005 15:45

that's grounds for divorce imo motherinferior, the selfish swine

sharklet · 17/11/2005 15:46

Whenever I work on overnight location jobs its quite normal for everyone to be "at it". NOthing whatso ever is thought of it. It was the saem when I worked in the theatre - touring shows were riddled with extra marital affairs.

Its just as much women as it is men IMHO. I think it shows real weakness though. I'm the boring one sloping off to bed with a book!

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:47

this was my intention last trip. have 3 nights of wonderful undisturbed sleep... it didn't happen. i couldn't sleep any of the nights and i felt like death the whole time. i also felt incredibly guilty because dw was having a real tough time with ds and the night times.

motherinferior · 17/11/2005 15:48

OO, you're right. Next time I shall ensure that he stays downstairs to be plagued by attentive girlies into the small hours

iota · 17/11/2005 15:54

It's not just at conferences -- hotels are full of businessmen sharking when they are away overnight on business.

Cadbury · 17/11/2005 15:54

a few days ago I would have been smug and thought no way, never happen when my dh is away (often)

Oddly, I don't feel so sure today.

Skribble · 17/11/2005 15:55

Its the "What goes on on tour stays on tour" thing. They seem to think it doesn't count when they are away from home. (male and female that is). A bit worrying really as my DH goes out on tour and they all drink like fish the whole time. I comfort my self with the thought that he would never do anything sober and he gets drunk so easily he ends up a gibbering drooling wreck before he could get up to anything.

I work away from home occasionally too so who knows what i get up to.

SackAche · 17/11/2005 15:58

In most places I work the rule has been "Whatever happens on a work night out, STAYS on the work night out".

sunchowder · 17/11/2005 15:59

Love the name sackache--can you add with two blue ornaments to it? sackachewithtwoblueornaments

munz · 17/11/2005 16:00

skrib r u militry as well? that's a worry my DH hasn't mentioned the tour thing. althou I know he'd never do anything.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 16:00

oh, i don't know... it's just all so tacky. why can't people just have a little self control. its hurtful and and like i said, tacky.

blue balls - a horrible aching of the sack brought on by overexcitment which can't be 'purged'.

SackAche · 17/11/2005 16:04

Be gone with your crude insinuations!

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 16:05

what me or sunchowder? it was sunchowder who said it!

sunchowder · 17/11/2005 16:06

Sorry, something is really wrong with me completely.

Skribble · 17/11/2005 16:06

Sack ache, isn't that what guys get on tour? or is that the dhobi itch .

No we are not military. He is with the Dalia Lama this weekend so not much chance for sh*gging I would like to think.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 16:07

SackAche · 17/11/2005 16:10

I was only pretending to be shocked by the way..... folks..... ok?

sunchowder · 17/11/2005 16:12

Oh thank god, I have been very sensitive since the pong down under thread. Not my Pong, it was a spin pong piss take and I fear that I have ruined my reputation completely now.

GREATauntymandy · 17/11/2005 16:12

just flicking through as my dd has my arm up my back trying to get me off here! but I dont think its as rife as we think. Do you all think your partners are at it when they are away?

iota · 17/11/2005 16:13

GAM - -I think mine is too busy drinking and stuffing his face with fancy hotel food to find the energy to play away
