ROFL Pruni!!!!

I know loads of Engineers who a have no qualms about sleeping with someone else.... they see it as something to 'do' while they are lonely all week away from home.

Bugsy2 · 17/11/2005 14:58

married men are at it - everywhere. As a divorced person on dating sites, I am amazed by the number of married men looking for "extra-curricular" activity!
Never get complacent.

It happens.

Nice stately home in countryside hosting 3-day courses, away days etc.

A lot of drinking, sitting around in lounges. Ended up with a rampant banker from another company banging down my room door - who was he?? I don't even remember talking to him. He obviously thought this sorts of conferences were jollies. I was very naive - really glad I did not open my door but spent 30 minutes cowering behind it. Next morning, none of my colleagues mentioned it.

More bankers ... Used to go for meetings with them in London - very professional. Then went on a business trip. Suddenly, this one was eyeing me up, made a big thing about taking off his wedding ring. Yuck.

Thankfully, I no longer work in that environment. But yes, sad.

grim

oliveoil · 17/11/2005 15:07

I don't think you can tar everyone with the same brush. Yes, some men will be at it like rabbits, but others will be rolling their eyes at their saddo colleagues and going up to their rooms to phone their wives and kids.

NomDePlume · 17/11/2005 15:09

absolutely, olive.

OO - In the Industry I worked in even the guys I thought would NEVER do anything like that could be found snogging someone outside the toilets on a work night out.

NomDePlume · 17/11/2005 15:10

DH is frequently away on corporate overnighters but it doesn't seriously cross my mind that he is sleeping with anyone whilst away, we joke about it when he's home, but I trust him never to behave like that.

well an ex of mine used to be away all the time and I told him that it worked both ways - what was I up to whilst her was away! Also what you don't know about etc.

But I just don't think that everyone would do it even if they had the chance .

NomDePlume · 17/11/2005 15:15

Olive, I agree (again!). I would have no problem 'resisting' an extra marital offer, so why should my DH struggle with the same thing ?

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:16

my colleague just went on a three day residential training thing. she's as straight as an arrow so she didn't do the bad thang but she reckons every single other person did... even the uglies ... and believe me, when on an accounting tuition thingy, there are alot of uglies!

oliveoil · 17/11/2005 15:16

indeed, lets give them some credit.

lol at being held back at resisting 'no no, I am married, heeelllllpppppppp'

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:16

cheating men are weak and are not men.

NomDePlume · 17/11/2005 15:18

I don't even think it's about being weak or strong. If you are genuinely happy in your relationship then your head shouldn't be turned by someone else to the extent of infidelity.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:19

yes but you know how men view things differently though.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:19

the whole visual thing and a great emphasis on the physical.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:21

but of course, re-reading your post yes, 'to the extent of infidelity' seems a little over the top to have your head turned so much you're willing to completely sh*t on your loved one and shag someone else.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 17/11/2005 15:27

anyway, i can't be arsed with it. if i have got time i go to the mall, supermarket to pick up some US goodies and essential supplies or i sit in my room and eat vast amounts of room service and watch crap US telly
