Where do you hang your laundry?

God, I find the sight of wet laundry draped around the place so bloody depressing. We currently live in a flat so have at least 2 clothes airers on the go in our bedroom at any one time. We're moving to a house but it doesn't have a utility room or spare bedroom. I'll see if I can find some space outside in summer but does anyone have some ingenious solution to allow me to escape the ugliness of dripping washing in winter?

Dh has attached a rail to the ceiling above the washing machine (it's not in the kitchen) and I either hang stuff on hangers there or use one of those multi peg things for smaller stuff. Works well. FIL also suggested putting a teeny space heater(you can get safe ones for enclosed spaces apparently) in a spare cupboard and hanging stuff in there. Would have been a great idea if we had a spare cupboard.
