Church schools
Caesarians
What lovely people midwives are.

I think you all know my opinions by now!

What are your PARP subjects?

And you are at severe risk of saying something you will regret.

"good swimmers"?? what does that mean then? I did briefly think in passing, "what are they talking about swimming on a ttc thread?"

and I have deepest sympathy for all the ttc'ers, but I do find the private language funny!

madmarchscare · 29/10/2005 11:16

sausage rolls

weesaidie · 29/10/2005 13:42

So nobody knows what this sticky baby dust is? Maybe I should just go and crash the thread and ask!

I do really hate all that naff baby dancing type talk.

dramaqueen72 · 29/10/2005 13:48

sticky baby dust - is the good wishes hoping your new pregnancy will 'stick' and not become another m/c.
all that 'baby' talk started in america, on the orginal ttc boards, and has been spread around the world via such boards, as odd as you may find it when you first hear it.

weesaidie · 29/10/2005 14:01

Ah, I see. Thanks dramaqueen72.

ironing - I only do it once a year
parp

expatinscotland · 29/10/2005 15:54

ROTFL, doormat! I NEVER iron. Don't own clothes that need it. Deliberately buy them in the States where 'no iron' fabrics are the norm. Work smarter, not harder .

doormat · 29/10/2005 15:56

expat I am not joshing, I only iron once a year and that is the uniforms the day they go back to school after the long hols

I use the drier to my advantage

madmarchscare · 29/10/2005 15:56

Oooo, ironing.

Do you fancy going for a drink/shopping/fun outing?

No thank you, I have got loads of ironing to do. wtf.

I remember a woman at work complaining cos her ironing was up to her border (translated as washing basket on floor with clean washing in it as far up the wall as her lovely floral top half of wallpaper).

I always say this now if I cant do something, pmsl everytime.

'There's no such thing as dyslexia' PARP PARP PARP!!

(expat and doormat - I'm a non-ironer where humanly possible too. I generally hope that people will be so blown away by my beauty and style - and that of my dear offspring - that they won't notice the creases)

Ah, that's understandable, FK - especially when the baby's only a few weeks old.

frannykenstein · 29/10/2005 20:58

I have started them myself at times of desperation. It is just particularly parp-worthy for me because ds at 2.5 has never, and I mean never, slept through. Somebody coming along expecting a full night's sleep as their divine right is guaranteed to get me going.

yes in fact my REAL parp subject (i.e. the one that I DARE NOT post on) is advocating controlled crying for tiny tiny babies. It is enough to actually make me cry in my hormonal state. am not underestimating how hard it is btw. it just makes me so sad I can hardly bear to think about it.

I am seriously going to Parp myself now as just discussing it in a controlled fashion is getting me going - I can feel myself about to blow...
