Hiya DIT - yes, am trying the same too. Working a treat, isn't it?! LOL!

dropinthe · 28/10/2005 23:18

EDMBB! "You talking to me?"

ediemaybeabat · 28/10/2005 23:18

word association
WHY????????????

dropinthe · 28/10/2005 23:23

I also think that, by now, there must be so many bloody breast feeding threads in the archives, that there is realy no need to start a new one-all the subjects have been covered ,unless by some strange, new coincedence you can catch bloody bird flu by BF!!

I don't know....can you??

ediemaybeabat · 28/10/2005 23:24

you only get bird flu from Boden, Ocado or Health Visitors

dramaqueen72 · 28/10/2005 23:24

single persons name threads,
threads abit like this that scare newcomers (ie anyone in the last two years) off mumsnet, (poss the intention..........)
anyone slating a mums whos doing her best but is different from the next poster.
all the we've known each other for years and you havent a clue threads............
all the anti 'tread' threads really.

hunkerpumpkin · 28/10/2005 23:26

DIT, but the archive's down and it's fun fun fun to have new nork-related rows - keeps me from talking about weaning spoons, doesn't it?

Caligula · 28/10/2005 23:27

I'm always amazed by how much energy and vitriol I can still summon up about rows I've had at least six times in the last 2 years!

hunkerpumpkin · 28/10/2005 23:29

Me too Caligula (re me, btw - haven't kept tabs on your particular vitriol-summoning abilities - though have recollections of them being immense )

dropinthe · 28/10/2005 23:30

Ok-Ok-as long as you are calling them "NORKS",I will let you off!!

Re new mumsnetters-so do we avoid using "Mumsnet" slang for fear of scaring then off??? I think not! We were all new once-a little bit "Whey" , a little bit "Whoa" but we soon got used to the madness and joined in the fun and frolics....didn't we??? Or am I in some strange, parallel, virtual domain called "Stepford"????

tigermoth · 28/10/2005 23:32

so that's what a beanie is? I wondered why som many poeple were getting het up about cuddly toys.

Can see dramaqueen's point about new people reading this thread - hate to admit is as I find the messages funny, but well, yes good point.

dropinthe, I think I around next Sat afternoon, I'll email you a few days before.

mears · 28/10/2005 23:33

Tests and quizzes. Only beacuse I'm so bad at them. Sulk, sulk, sulk

weesaidie · 29/10/2005 09:45

Talking of baby dancing and so forth, I noted a conception thread with 'good swimmers and sticky baby dust a must' type of title.

Now I know what they mean by 'good swimmers' but sticky baby dust? Can anyone enlighten me?

Caligula · 29/10/2005 10:12

Eeeugh. It doesn't sound hygienic, whatever it is.

aloha · 29/10/2005 10:16

I like name threads.
Nightynight - we really shouldn't take it quite so seriously, should we?
I think a PARP thread is one when you read back your contributions and you see yourself go from perfectly reasonable person to humourless ranting in about five posts.
