Hi

I just wanted to chat to you off the other thread, as you seem very different to normal. Is everything ok??????????????

OP posts:
QueenOfQuotes · 30/09/2005 23:06

everythings fine - well no different to normal - thanks for asking though.

soapbox · 30/09/2005 23:08

OK!

TBH - apart from the swearing - which is unusal for me, the sentiments I'm expressing are no different to the things I usually post.

QueenOfQuotes · 30/09/2005 23:29

actually if I'm honest, I'm tired, stressed, have a headache (had it all afternoon), had a minor falling out with DH this evening, am still feeling guilty about last night (even though today was pretty much ok), fed up with people apparently not reading my posts properly (probably just think I'm talking the same crp as usual), irritable, tense and basically Pssed off (for no real reason) today. Oh and not sleeping well - so no point in gong to bed early or I'll be up at 5am

QueenOfQuotes · 30/09/2005 23:47

or perhaps not even reading my posts at all

soapbox · 30/09/2005 23:51

Sorry - forgot about this one - have been watching telly and just refreshing from the education board

Are things worse than usual or is it just more of the same old????

Did you have any luck finding some p/t work?? Can't be easy with your DH's hours!

Feels like worse ATM. DH got paid yesterday, but it just took us back to just under the overdraft limit, and once the bills have gone out we'll back to where we were on Wednesday.

I've applied for 5 jobs so far, 3 I didn't even get an interview for, the other 2 still waiting to hear.

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:12

QOQ-If it makes you feel any better, have been nearly £3k overdrawn for nearly 2 years!!!

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:13

MONEY,SMONEY! CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!!

soapbox · 01/10/2005 00:13

Sounds bad

Have you managed to sell any of the stock from the website??? If not could you find someone to take it in bulk for less money?

Are you sure youa re getting all the benefits you are entitled to?

OP posts:
QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:14

is that 'offical' or unoffical overdraft?

It's bl**dy stupid, for 9 months we had no income, yet they were happy to keep helping us (the bank that is). Now DH has a job, they don't want to know. He went into his branch to speak to them on Wednesday, to see if they'd give us another temporary overdraft until he gets his next "full" pay (bonuses are payed 2 months in lieu) and they said a catergoric no.

Currently monthly outgoings C £2400,

Currently monthly income C£1400

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:18

Stop thinking about it,eh? If only for tonight-common-forget about money-my limit is official and I won't even go into any other lending-chill Queeny! Reminisce!

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:20

easier said than done - I've got £12 to finish the rest of the weeks shopping (at least I've got nappies this time ) to last until next Thursday/Friday "may" me getting another £50 next week, but not certain.

mykidsmum · 01/10/2005 00:23

QOQ I think you will get that care job stop worrying so many of us, belive me are in the same boat

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:27

I know - and so many people are in a worse situation than us, but still doesn't stop me worrying.

mykidsmum · 01/10/2005 00:28

You will be fine you have the oppurtuntiy to earn more and thats a good thing, you will get a job you know and whoever employs you will be glad to have you

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:28

I worry all day but by night......

I turn into a hardcore cheesy quaver with no worries!!

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:32

it doesn't feel like I'm going to get a job at the moment. I've got no 'work experience' at all (apart from my drunken 2yrs in Zim teaching music - which isn't really much help for a sales assistant/care assistant/cleaner)

mykidsmum · 01/10/2005 00:36

but you are a mum the best job of all, and your skills are easily transferable into care rolls. believ me as someone who employs paople for such jobs i would snap you up in a minute

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:38

Hey,listen I work a couple of evening in a cash office of a big supermarket-it almost pays the mortgage,ok??

And used to be a Bank Manager!!

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:40

I guess - I'll just have to wait and see. Dropped the form in on Thursday, got home looked at the job section of the paper, and the ad was in for it (I'd seen it on the jobcentreplus website) - so I guess I've probably got at least a week, if not more before I find out if I'm even going to get as far as in interview (which knowing me I'll screw up anyhow )

mykidsmum · 01/10/2005 00:44

stop it woman there are lots of places near you who seek carers regularly and I 'know' you can do it. there are lots of care homes in wellingborough for children with speciall needs and they are often looking for staff. You will do it, believe in yourself

Dropinthe · 01/10/2005 00:44

Q o Q-You are a winner ,not a loser! I don't hear negativity from you-you are a fighter and in my book, always have been! Chin up and sock it to them!

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:46

yes there are lots looking for carers - those with experience "required", or with hours I can't do

QueenOfQuotes · 01/10/2005 00:46

oh and the ones "own transport needed" (I don't drive).
