Always thouight this was on the cards - shame but I really think he was using her to get somewhere in television - remember him from Shipwrecked on Channel 4 and he seemed to need to be famous and centre of attention then.

Feel sorry for their poor little baby.

God I am sooooo boring - just thought what a silly message to post - sure no one really cares!!

Boe - I love shobiz gossip and I hadn't heard this so it interests me! But like you I'm not suprised at all. I wasn't suprised about Kym Marsh and Jack Ryder either. It makes you wonder do they really love each other enough in the first place?

Boe · 13/08/2003 09:42

Think with Kym and Jack it was a case of her raising her profile and him getting cross that he was left at home holding someone elses babies. Now if it was the other way round it would have probably been completely acceptable.

Saw J&J storey on front of tabloid paper on the train this morning - DP would laugh if I bought The Sun or anything for the gossip - he lunges on my copies of Hello, OK and Now though - I lunge at peoples down market tabloids like an addict!!

oooh kim marsh & jack ryder have split ? i didn't know that. But they both said this was IT !!!!

Boe · 13/08/2003 09:48

Kayleigh - where have you been for the past 2 weeks - under a stone??

Apparently she was shagging someone even younger than him!!

Although I never liked him and always wanted to grab him and wash his hair, he has gone to seed staying at home looking after the kids - last picture I saw of him he was all fat and spotty - Yuck he is too short to carry so much weight too.

Feel sorry for the kids more upheavel in theor little lives.

As for Jade and Jeff - DP was convionced that they were the same person (so was I actually!!)

I feel very sorry for the baby too. They both seemed thoroughly stupid people who lived to be in Heat.

Northerner · 13/08/2003 10:16

Boe you sound as addicted to gossip mags as I am. I buy Now, OK, Hello, Closer, and Heat religiously (sp?)

Dh goes mad with me.

kayleigh · 13/08/2003 10:17

Boe, I just haven't been sitting next to anyone on the train with a Sun/Mirror !

You know I don't really care what they do when they are young free and single. But these people really should be a bit more responsible when they have children. It makes me really cross that they treat marriage like we used to be about "going out with" when you're a teenager IYKWIM.

fio2 · 13/08/2003 10:17

If I ever buy OK I have to tell my dh that my Mom has passed it on for me to have a look at at because he hates it with a passion.

Boe · 13/08/2003 10:25

2 of DP's friends work in TV and he went on hols with them recently and now is a bit of a know all about all of the celebrities - no one major though, he actually asks me whether I have bought all the gossip mags.

Have huge peice of gossip about an old footballer who is shagging an Agent but cannot remember what his name is - know what he looks like but most old footballers do - and will get in serious trouble if reveal.

Friend also went on hols with them and said by the end of the holiday she just wanted to talk about babies and stuff when they were talking about F rate celebrities!!

OP posts:
kayleigh · 13/08/2003 10:26

I never buy them as I do think they are a total waste of money - I'd much rather spend it on a good book (I read on my train journey to/from work). But I do love going to the hairdresser / dentist / doctors

fio2 · 13/08/2003 10:27

Boe do you mean George Best?

Boe · 13/08/2003 10:30

God no - this one is grosse too though - I despise George Best and think that alcoholics should not be given transplants - will probably start a huge row but that liver he had could have gone to someone who did not destroy their own liver willingly.

Keep guessing though may actually remember his name if someone says it - apparently he is married (so DP says though so hope his wife is not reading) and he is at the mo in the States.

It'd be pathetic if there wasn't a little 'un involved. It always struck me that she was much more 'in love' than he was. He always seemed to think he could do better and was treating the relationship as one big publicity stunt. He was photographed on holiday with 'the lads' when Bobby-Jack was just a couple of weeks old. The pic showed him ogling at some topless beach babes. He is such a w*er.

wickedstepmother · 13/08/2003 10:33

As an aside Boe, Alcoholism is an illness. Alcoholics do not 'destroy themselves willingly !

Boe · 13/08/2003 10:36

Sorry but GB had all the love and support possible and as a grandchild of an alcoholic (so know is illness but incomprehendable to me) I would say the risk of falling back off the wagon and destroying a huge gift from someone like a liver would be too much.

Sorry am not going to go into this as I will not change the way I feel about it - he should not have got the transplant IMO.

OP posts:
wickedstepmother · 13/08/2003 10:37

Sorry about that, think I have a virus in my PC. It keeps involuntarily shutting down. Not sure where I stand on the transplant thing though.

fio2 · 13/08/2003 10:40

Not saying whether or not they should be given transplants but the same with my sister. She was waiting for a heart/lung transplant and was on the list with people who needed new lungs because they had smoked. I think hosiptals do prioritise on transplant lists but they cant exclude people for these reasons.

wickedstepmother · 13/08/2003 10:42

It is the responsiblity of the NHS to provide treatment to ANYONE who needs it. Not saying that it's right but they have a duty to all members of the public, whatever their history.

Dahlia · 13/08/2003 13:33

Northerner - I bought Ok last week as a treat as I don't have time to read books at the moment (although having said that I have just managed to read a short Bill Bryson book as I think he's fab) anyway I got thoroughly depressed reading about Catherine Zeta Jones because she looked so utterly fabulous.

aloha · 13/08/2003 13:36

OK, gossip hounds, I'm writing a feature about celebrity couples we are obsessed by and why they capture our imagination. Which couple is/was your favourite and why? All thoughts very gratefully received!

Teletubby · 13/08/2003 13:45

aloha - i like the Beckhams. Perhaps not the brightest pair but seem to be very much in love, stable marriage and have both come from ordinary backgrounds to make it as big as they have plus she always looks so fabulous - no baby vomit, stretchmarks etc in sight and they don't even have a nanny! They always seem game to have a laugh too, even if it's at their own expense.

codswallop · 13/08/2003 13:56

I thought C and di were fascinating altho I hate the royals with a venom...

codswallop · 13/08/2003 13:56
