wish I did, I've got the day off work to go to Legoland

BadHair · 23/08/2005 22:40

Kew Botanical Gardens? Only a short hop from Richmond. Shorts and t-shirts on for the tropical houses.

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:40

there's a smaller and slightly less hellish version of snakes and ladders called hugos in richmond town centre, if you go out of the red lion car park back entrance (on paradise road?) you're there.

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:47

Thanks you are a star shall have a look xx

Kew Gardens is fairly expensive, yes. Definitely don't eat there.
Syon House is lovely - I've not been to Snakes and Ladders but a sunny day out in the gardens with dp and ds1 when he was a baby will always be one of the best days of my life.

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:52

Packed lunch it is! Thanks people genuinely, my dp cannot believe the info you can get on mumsnet, he didn't think anyone would reply!!

Hugos no good for older ones though I shouldn't think, is fairly tiny (and yes a lot less hellish!)

CountessDracula · 23/08/2005 22:54

~Also at Syon House is a reptile place, a butterfly house, a tropical fish shop (free to look!) and other bits

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:54

2 kids aged 5 and a 2 year old, do you think they will like it?

OP posts:
astonished · 23/08/2005 22:55

Like the sound of butterfly house etc wish i was going now, been on the website and it looks great

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 23/08/2005 22:56

Oh yes Hugos fine for that age

Heathcliffscathy · 23/08/2005 22:57

5/6 year old would be ok there cd? how old are yours astonished?

snakes and ladders is massive and huge and like a aircraft hanger sized portion of kidtasticness (i.e. hell on a stick, but they probably will love it)

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:58

And probably less expensive too am on a bit of a budget which will please dp

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 23/08/2005 22:58

it is truly vile yes

it smells of poo and they shout all the time over loudspeakers

astonished · 23/08/2005 22:58

2 and 5 (times 2) Sophable

OP posts:
Heathcliffscathy · 23/08/2005 22:59

OP posts:
