Welcome to the Tea rooms newest incarnation. A cozy log cabin with a roaring log fire, comfy chintz sofas and a dedicated man about the house, our Butler, Mellors. Out of the windows you can see sparkling white snow gently drifted up under the green Christmas trees and bright blue skies. Children can all be packed off to play healthy outdoor stuff while we stay snug n warm in here with our mulled wine, tea, artisan hot chocolate and other beverages served in mugs, glasses or buckets.

The usual rules apply - no fisticuffs. And no messing with the aspidistra.

Our polytunnel has been torn to shreds by the storms this winter; need to recover and I am daunted by the prospect (it is a vast commercial tunnel). We will need to spend several days digging a trench around it. We have therefore not sown any seeds.
We are watching Frozen on a loop, which is influencing my view of the tea room. Olaf appears to be sunbathing next to the new spring flowers and I think I saw a reindeer.

Scout19075 · 11/04/2014 20:37

LaBelle! How lovely to see you!

LaBelleDameSansPatience · 11/04/2014 20:45

Yes, I often lurk ... DH out tonight and I should be doing school work ... which is of course why I am here instead, watching Olaf (Olof?) cavorting around the alpine spring flowers.
::Waves to all, handing out Wine and Cake as appropriate.::

beanandspud · 11/04/2014 20:46

LaBelle!!!

Donki · 11/04/2014 21:05

?Waves at LaBelleDame?

Here, would you like to share my hay pile?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/04/2014 21:11

::clasps LaBelle to her ample bosom::

How is Wriggle? Are you still juggling AP, DD, DH, pets, building work..?

Donki · 12/04/2014 08:08

Good morning!
Anyone for tea and hot cross buns?

Scout19075 · 12/04/2014 08:44

Tea, please. No milk, extra sugar please. Thank you.

Misfitless · 12/04/2014 08:49

Is anyone allowed to join? I'm a regular lurker, but I know I don't qualify. It's a lovely place, and often want to join in, but don't have an only so I never do! I did have an only - almost 9 years between DC1 and 2, so I visit the only child board as much as the larger families section.

I'll leave it with you lovely ladies...just pinching a hot cross bun on my way out, if that's ok? Smile

Scout19075 · 12/04/2014 08:54

Everyone's welcome, Misfitless. There's a similar age difference between me and my siblings and my Mom always said it was like having two oldest children (or two onlies before my sister joined my brother).

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 12/04/2014 09:00

Hi MissFitless. Anyone is welcome here, as long as they comply with the one basic rule of no fisticuffs!

Scout19075 · 12/04/2014 09:17

Morning, Maud!

Misfitless · 12/04/2014 09:24

Oh thanks everyone!

Smile

Very much looking forward to regular breakfast buffets, and the lovely cosy, supportive place that is the chalet! Oh, and Mellors, of course!

Donki · 12/04/2014 09:58

Morning MisFitless

The other important rule is not messing with the Aspidistra over there.

Please excuse my hay pile - I haven't swept up yet.

UniS · 12/04/2014 10:19

ohh, hot cross buns. yes please.

I can't take much more of Real Life this morning.

So tell us, MissFitless, if you are a regular on Larget Families, exactly how big is your brood?
