Tearoom 35: Sun, sea and sand...

This breathtakingly beautiful island has unspoilt powdery white sand beaches, crystalline turquoise waters that wash over pristine coral reefs, and verdant green rainforest.

Scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing trips are available and you can discover the island's charms on foot (with or without Mellors the guide) by mountain bike or private island buggy.

For those in need of pampering the spa offers a selection of luxurious treatments to soothe and heal both body and soul.

For dining, enjoy a freshly prepared meal at the tearoom, a picnic on the beach, or a delicious dinner in the oceanfront restaurant with its stunning sea views. There is Wine, Brew and good company, everybody is welcome.

Tempting, very tempting Mistle

Not sure what their parents would think if I resorted to alcohol to cope with the (not so) little darlings... Xmas Grin

We still watch some Ceebies here . Boy is not too big to enjoy a bit of tree fu tom or that pirate theme quiz game thing- swash-buckle. And I like Katie Morag and Abney and Teal.

We have a working pc again. On the old desk, but 12 cm smaller and in a new position ( the desk, not the PC), not put new shelves up as I couldn't find the brackets I thought I had, but they can wait till after Christmas.

Boy - very excited. rather excited about uncle J coming for christmas, a first. He finished school today, then had a late night as we were out Carol singing.

Would mulled spiced cider go well with those mince pies and carrots? Pass your buckets/ glasses.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/12/2013 09:08

Ooh. Spiced cider for breakfast. Yum.

Well done on successful pc installation. We went browsing for new electronics last night. Ooh-err.

The Girl enjoys watching Charlie and Lola as she has her breakfast, so even she is not yet (completely) too old for CBeebies.

Donki · 20/12/2013 10:12

Can you reheat my bucket of spiced cider?
[Fussy]

I feel the need for fortification before this afternoon!

(Busy hoovering. Pointless I know but the floor is messy Blush )

Donki · 20/12/2013 10:13

Trying to get the YD to tidy his stuff up. It's like getting blood out of a stone.

mistlethrush · 20/12/2013 10:18

We have the 'tidying up' that results in even more things to hoover around...

I'm in YOUT with SB. It's insanity. Lady at John Lewis actually admitted she was panic buying and wasn't entirely sure what was in her basket. SB and I got some candles for a friend at home for Christmas 2014. Admittedly it was 50% off and my American friend loves the English Santa stuff I have found in the past for her.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/12/2013 13:44

The Girl and I are about to go and do some recreational shopping. Must be mad.

I went to YOUT on business a couple if weeks ago and thought the Christmas lights looked very pretty.

Scout19075 · 20/12/2013 14:06

We're here to "waste" a few hours while MrScout finishes up for Christmas and we head off to PiLshire. I wouldn't come in to do serious shopping today because the people are mad here today.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/12/2013 17:02

How funny. We went shopping for the exact same reason, although (obviously) waiting for The Bloke rather than MrScout!

Scout19075 · 20/12/2013 17:10

Took SB to the Science Center for a play. Got us away from the mad shoppers.

mistlethrush · 20/12/2013 20:50

DS is singing at a Krispy Cream Doughnut centre tomorrow and getting a guided tour... I'm going along....

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/12/2013 22:27

Ooh. I don't think I know the YOUT science centre. Is it in the U part of town?

Donki · 20/12/2013 23:11

Aaargh!
Birthday sleepovers!
They are busy having a midnight feast...

mistlethrush · 20/12/2013 23:15

Are you going to enforce a teeth cleen after that? Xmas Grin

I hope that they manage to get to sleep fairly soon and don't wake up too early

Donki · 20/12/2013 23:18

Only 5 (including the YD) 2 went home at 9.30pm ish. Fortunately... we watched one of his friends run off his risperidone around 8.00 pm
It was a long hour and a half until his parents turned up. (I would have liked him to be ale to stay too, but he is not sleeping at the moment, and I couldn't face them being up all night Blush)

The YD had a meltdown from tiredness and excitement just before the party as it was....

Donki · 20/12/2013 23:20

mistlethrush · 21/12/2013 08:20

We're on Suffolk Pond Pudding at the moment. Apart from the suet issue....

2nd Christmas Pudding is pressure cooking for another 90 mins.

Dog is sleeping (and twitching) beside me. We've managed to keep her bandage dry since Wednesday so far. That did require me going out at 3.20am with her and wrapping it up in a bag and sticking a boot on it...
