Turkish Tearoom? Turkish Bath? Anyway, a Turkish delight awaits...

Picture the scene...

From the edge of every terrace and every step hang brilliantly white stalactites, and you can hear the joyful splashing of the waters of the hot springs as they cascade down over slopes where their flow is impeded only by clumps of oleanders.

Nearby is an oasis of refreshments, in our Pamukkale residence, air conditioned and with white washed generously proportioned rooms, with Mellors at the ready, to offer Turkish Massage to anyone who wishes.

The NMBs are in their element, whereas the bishops seem to have found their speedoes again.

Priest's hole is at the back, in a quiet shaded area, stocked with What Car magazines, Turkish rugs and Turkish delight

::covers Amber with a super soft throw and gives her 10 copies of Tractor and Field Monthly::

That is the sort of magazine you like, isn't it, Amber?

Scout, use a glass, you'll hear more! Grin

Scout19075 · 12/08/2011 20:49

I thought, Tee. But then remembered it's a glass door so I'd be spotted. Wonder if I could casually go into the kitchen for a drink....? Wink

I'm awful, aren't I? Blush

Scout19075 · 12/08/2011 21:36

Right, it's been an hour now. And in reality I really do need a drink. But I can't go....

UniS · 12/08/2011 21:50

what not even room for an agnostic bishop in speedos down there Amber?

No scout not now, not after an hour... it WOULD look suspicious.

Boy was bike racing again today, he came 4th. He was 3 years younger than any other racer.

there were only 4 in his race, so they got him to stand on the imaginary 4th podium and gave him medal as well.

Tee2072 · 12/08/2011 21:53

Well done Boy!

I was going to go to bed early....Wine?

Scout19075 · 12/08/2011 21:53

Yay for UniS's Boy and his medal.

I am being good and not going. MrScout sys I could if I wanted to but I agree, it would look suspicious.

Why am I so nosy tonight?!

amberlight · 12/08/2011 23:02

not any faith leaders at all barring Mary, nope. They can all jolly well stay outside and let me hide under the blankets and read the magazines (thanks...). Ow my brain hurts.

UniS · 12/08/2011 23:11

Its all right, you just carry on hiding, heres some more chocolate and biscuits next to your blanket for when you come out.

Thumbwitch · 13/08/2011 00:56

Oh dear amber. I saw your post on FB and thought it sounded ominous - so :( that people are so thoughtlessly unkind. :(
Have a 1961 Haynes manual for a Jaguar.

Scout - hope you know what it's about by now, or at the very least have got your drink!

MrT is in trouble. He went out early to play tennis, he was supposed to be at a friend of MIL's house to pick something up between 9 and 9:15, MIL phoned here at 9:45 to ask where he was because her friends want to go out, I've tried phoning him and he's not answering his phone, which means he's still playing. So i've given him an earful on the answerphone because it's just so selfish to mess around with other people's plans like this (but oh so typical of him where tennis is concerned).

AandO · 13/08/2011 09:20

Morning!

LittleO has been taken off to Gymboree this morning with his cousins, so I am home alone! I suppose I will drink coffee then pack...did I mention we move house on Thursday?

Scout - Any news?!

AandO · 13/08/2011 09:22

Woo hoo go Boy! LittleO will barely sit on the big boy bike we bought him. Little chance of him being out of stabilisers any time soon.

Scout19075 · 13/08/2011 09:32

I got my drink, a mini magnum AND the news in the end. In a round about way it is one of my guesses but the front part of the story was not what I expected. I can't say anything on an open forum as it's a sensitive issue and while it's one already out in the public (local papers but not in the area I live) devulging information could out me/the family. However, what I can say is: AACKKK!!!!

Jacksmania · 13/08/2011 16:19

Sorry to be a nosy caaaahhhh but also in the interest of being supportive of you, Scout :o could you explain ----> in the other place?

amberlight · 13/08/2011 17:19

Blimey, all v complicated re your situation, Scout?

Jacksmania · 13/08/2011 17:34

Caramel drizzle cake, Amber?

amberlight · 13/08/2011 17:42

I'd love a drizzle, yes please. Thanks.
No sign of any clergypersons yet, I take it?

Jacksmania · 13/08/2011 17:45

No, Amber, this TeaRoom is equipped with clergy-sensing invisible fencing (the kind you can have for dogs, only for clergy in this case). They were repelled by the fencing, waited awhile and then went away, bored. I overheard them say they wouldn't be back as there was something not quite right about this TeaRoom and they felt uncomfortable.

So you can come out and enjoy the sunshine if you want?

UniS · 13/08/2011 19:28

UniS continues cake trail past the door and out to the stable in case Amber is interested in going for a ride.

Who has the sleepy dust??? 815 and LCT is wide awake!

AandO · 13/08/2011 20:28

Just a quick question....aibu to be a bit annoyed at my mom for saying I can't leave anything at all of my things at the house I grew up in? Bit more info, my parents emigrated 12 years ago, the family home is now a holiday home, a five bed, four bath, two reception rooms type holiday home. We are moving into a new house next week and when looking through coats was humming and hawing over which I would ever wear in the future. Mom quickly said 'You can't leave anything here'. I wasn't planning to, but I'm annoyed that she feels that way. Afterall, it's a massive vacant house!

Jacksmania · 13/08/2011 21:35

YANBU - that seems a bit mean of her :(
