To pinch an intro from the very first one and only tea room thread. in 2009.

The tea room is now officially open, serving hot chocolate, tea, freshly-squeezed orange juice and a range of home-baked muffins. Tablecloths and crockery are charmingly mismatched antiques (no Cath Kidston here). We overlook an attractive although somewhat overgrown garden, with a distant view of rolling countryside.

Everyone is welcome but house rules dictate that anyone indulging in fisticuffs will be ejected.

Please come in.

We seem to have fetched up in Ireland, this place looks remarkably like a pub,There is even a guiness barrel over there. The NMBs are all sporting shamrocks. The mirror ball is here, but I leave teh rest of the unpacking to someone else.

The teaspoon thief looks a little familiar (from my fleeting glimpse) - it certainly wasn't the NMBs!

'Ere, who's made off with my prize teaspoon collection which I had pinned to the wall and carefully identified by category, sub-category, type, date of manufacture and shape??!! Shock Hmm

MaryBS · 18/07/2011 20:37

Welll, whoever it is, they're probably stirring!

This is no laughing matter, ladies! Today, the teaspoon collection. Tomorrow, the entirety of Land Rover Collectors Monthly! Who knows where this could end!

Mellors? You're on night watch. I'll take the morning shift from 6am...

AandO · 18/07/2011 21:46

Ooh Donki, I went to Alaska some years back, it was lovely...but quite chilly some days near the coast even though it was july.

Thanks for all your thoughts on LittleO. I wouldn't mind if he were gay at all but was just wondering whether these were indications or just standard small child stuff. By the sound of things its pretty standard so. I do remember as a child my aunt talking to my mum worried that my cousin would be gay as he only played with dolls...he is not.

< could someone pass me a fork to stir my tea please Grin>

Sorry couldn't resist when i had this name then saw there was a tearoom here - you made me laugh a lot with how you took my cloaked invasion

UniS · 18/07/2011 22:37

Yea, tea spoons are back.

Night all, anyone for a last hot chocolate? I have a large bucket of it here. (I did wash it out after my last bucket of tea, honest)

UniS · 18/07/2011 23:27

ohh yes please to a bucket of hot choc. might drive this headache away.

I have finnallllly got started on my T-shirt patchwork project. I now have 6 rows of Pieces of T-shirt to join together to make one side of a Duvet cover, just need to find a large cotton jersey sheet to make teh other side AND sew it all together. Two days of rain was enough to drive me to an indoor project.

beanandspud · 18/07/2011 23:31

Yes please to hot chocolate. Have had to de-camp to spare room due to snoring and now I can't sleep.

Unis - I am in awe of your t-shirt duvet project. I am still at the 'struggles to sew on button' level of needlework.

UniS · 18/07/2011 23:35

I have borrowed a sewing machine, have to give it back in two weeks. It did take 2 reads of the manual before I was willing to work out how to thread it up with manual in hand.

Wow Unis. Once more your handiwork skills amaze me.

Lovely photos by the way AandO and Mistle.

amberlight · 19/07/2011 07:20

Hurrah for return of teaspoons!

Tee2072 · 19/07/2011 07:33

Morning.

Looks like I missed all the excitement! Who was that masked man?!?!

Grey day here. Good day to get a small boy's haircut and do some shopping.

Another Brew Amber? How are you feeling today?

Unis I was impressed with myself for sewing buttons back on our duvet covers. You're making a whole cover! Grin

UnSerpentQuiCourt · 19/07/2011 08:00

Most impressed that you have actually started your project, UniS. I am collecting pieces of blue and white cotton to make a large bedcover to match the colour of our bedroom when I get round to painting it. The collecting phase has lasted a long time.

MN has eaten my last several long and thoughtful posts on sex, gender, life and death and crashes every time I try to --show off- upload my photo of Wriggle's cake. It is definitely thwarting me at every step.

amberlight · 19/07/2011 08:57

Alright thanks, Tee. You? Everyone else?

Another Brew would be marvellous, thanks.

UniS · 19/07/2011 09:33

It was a masked MAN!!!! why didn't we hang onto him?

Collecting phase on T-shirts has been a good 10 years and 3 house moves.

Quick post to send Brew to those who need one.

On train, nearly in London. Small Bean behaving impeccably so far - wish me luck as not sure I can cope with public meltdowns today!

AandO · 19/07/2011 12:16

Thanks Catita Smile!

Wow Unis - very impressive, I am the zero handycraft skills type!

Have you people that live in England seen this festival?:

AandO · 19/07/2011 12:17
