Have you noticed your teenage son changing because of what he sees online?

Hi everyone,

I’m a PhD researcher at the DCU Anti-Bullying Centre, and I’m currently exploring how some teenage boys are being exposed to harmful online content, especially content that promotes extreme ideas about gender.

This research has full ethical approval. I’m particularly interested in hearing from parents boys aged 12–18 about how they’ve experienced this process: what you’ve noticed, how it’s affected your son, and how it may have impacted your relationship with him.

I know this is a very personal and often difficult topic, so I’m approaching it with great care, full confidentiality, and absolutely no judgment.

I'm currently conducting anonymous, one-on-one interviews with parents, scheduled at your convenience. If you think this might apply to you, or if you're unsure and just want to ask a question, you can reach me at:

Thank you so much for reading! Even if this doesn’t apply to you directly, I’d really appreciate it if you could consider sharing or commenting to help spread the word.

Warmly,
Deniz Celikoglu
