Hello!☺️

Are you currently experiencing menopause and in employment? If so, your participation will help deepen our understanding of how menopause impacts working women, a reality experienced by nearly 8 in 10 women during menopause.

I am an MSc Organisational Psychology student at the University of Manchester, looking for participants to complete a short 15-minute questionnaire. It aims to investigate the effects of menopause on productivity, performance and well-being at work.

Menopause has been studied to have serious negative effects on women’s daily life however there is little research on the effects of menopause in the workplace. This research will enhance understanding of how menopause affects working women and will assist companies in developing supportive policies.

If you are:
· Currently going through menopause (perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause)
· Employed / self-employed

Please consider reading over the participant information sheet linked below and decide if you would like to contribute to this research:

@TheFallenMadonnabut what kind of woman do they want? How are they determining that it is a biological woman answering.

The universities push push push to ask about gender identity only, I have completely very many dissertation surveys and it’s Everytime.

For all of you asking why is there a question about gender. I attended a menopause workshop at my work today (remote session but 200+ people joined, including a handful of men). In the talk they said that anyone who has been exposed to oestrogen can go through menopause. So, if a transgender person has taken oestrogen they too can experience symptoms associated with hormonal changes.

I’ve completed the survey. I am in the process of leaving my job, and I think peri menopause has played a role in how I’ve been feeling at and about work that has resulted in me choosing to resign.

They want employed women experiencing menopause. That's what the participant details say, pretty clearly. People who aren't biological women dont experience menopause and are excluded by definition.

A man who has taken oestrogen and then stops taking oestrogen is NOT experiencing menopause just because he is having symptoms that occur with menopause.

It would be like me saying I am disabled because I spent a week in a wheelchair after breaking my leg skiing.
