Thanks @bookbook . Yes it's the right day.
Took car to garage then ds1 and I walked down into town got what we needed and ds1 bought me a coffee to drink on the way home. We just made it to one of the harbour bridges before it closed! Was wishing i hadn't worn my big coat by time I had walked halfway! But of course weather didn't hold and it turned freezing cold again after we were home. Walk was nice in the sunshine but it was a long way my knee was not happy coming back up the hill.🤣
Hope you are having an easuer time with insurance than I had @DirtyGertiefromno30

Lovely that Ds1 treated you to a coffee and that you got everything done. Typical with the weather though, too warm then freezing again once you are home. The walk in the sunshine must have been lovely, even if your knee was not impressed with that hill bless you 🤗

I have been so busy and l am really tired now but l have done loads today hence me not posting till now 🙄
Put the hoover over everywhere, cleaned the bathroom, picked up the prescriptions and did 6 weeks of the disser pots for us each , then the insurances 😱
I was putting off doing them if l am being truthful 🤣
Anyway they are fine now thank God.
I managed to get them for about the same price as last year combined but the home insurance has gone up so much ! Thankfully the one car insurance was less because of Dd1's NCB thank God so it compensated for it . Just had sausage sarnies and quavers and a big cuppa . I am going to flake out now 🤣

@bookbook glad youare having a lovely day and able to get out in the garden . DH has been to the market , a walk and then in the garden all afternoon 🤗

I am the opposite @DirtyGertiefromno30 re insurance. Car went up but house contents was about the same., just a smudge more. They are all out to bleed us dry though.
Have done dishes, folded and dished out washing, put washing away, tidied kitchen, done the bins, watered pots out back and precious little else. Lots of dark clouds now maybe it will rain later. If not will water rest of garden tomorrow.

What has your dh been doing in garden all day???
Haven't got my car back yet but if there was a problem he would have phoned so will just wait.
Having a HCB for tea cba to do anything else. 😁

He's emptied the pots, put compost in, ready for the new plants , replanted the Fuscias out of the pots into the garden and he's cut the lawns 🤣🤣🤣

Car is staying at garage tonight. I dont need it they will drop it off tomorrow. Its a real favour to bring it back so I dont mind a bit.

He’s had a really productive day, fair play to Dh. It’s good the garage are sorting the car and bringing it back for you, that does make things a lot easier even if it means being without it tonight. Definitely worth it for the convenience.

I am in my pjs, showered hair plaited ready for our meal out tomorrow pm.

I forgot i had bought a box of Toffeefee for ds2 and have looked everywhere for the wrapping paper i bought...its nowhere. I got it at a different time and put it somewhere so safe I cant bloody find it! Oh well will give him them anyways when he gets home. Typical of me!
Having a coffee to calm my sough. 😄

Typical about the wrapping paper though, I do that all the time put things somewhere safe and they vanish into thin air! It’ll turn up when you’re looking for something else. He’ll be happy with the Toffifee anyway bless him 😋😁

Ds2 is back from work. And yes very pleased with the toffifee. 😄 He got cans and bottles of cider at work and cupcakes from his colleagues. Very nice.
Need to go to bed soon, didn't sleep for ages last night, first time in a while I didn't go to sleep quite quickly for me. Fingers crossed tonight!

That sounds like a much better night @Thebookofcarolagain, even with the early wake up. Always feels nicer just getting up instead of lying there wide awake. Glad the car is back too, one less thing to think about .
Housework club here as well, never ending isn’t it! At least the weather has brightened up a bit, it does make everything feel a bit easier when there’s some light coming in ☀️

Have watered all my 'babies' will need to juggle thier places as my jade plant gets bumped when I go past to open and close the curtains. They are all getting so big! My huge armchair doesn't help, need a smaller cheap chair.
Will water garden later once sun is off it.
Need to check the tones the pub is open fir food water.
Am putting off doing my drivers license but it must be done. 😱

Ffs took me 3 tries to renew my driving licence. First I went on the renewal site. Had to make a new Gov account photographed my old licence then it scanned my face, twice it ame up cant verify you. Well it's 8 years since my old photo! So went on gov site and did it all, submitted my photo no problem.why not just tell you it's easier that way? Had to hunt for licence renewal on gov website then they showed up all my bloody details for me, no photographing my licence faff. Arghhhh.

Been to see Mum who was ok there, just very tired but drank and ate for me ok TBF. So at least l don't have to worry about her being dehydrated. Honestly it's the bane of my life making sure she's eating and drinking enough . Popped to Aldis to do some shopping for us and Mum . Put it all away and having a cuppa and a , guess what @Thebookofcarolagain 🤣

We are now going to the Chinese restaurant instead. To get a decent Chinese meal as opposed to our normal takeaway. Gonna book a table after I have done this.

Home safe and had a lovely time, but nowt as good as your own bed!

And you timed the weather just right too 😁 bit of drizzle, then safely back at the car before it properly tipped it down. Free garden watering is always a win 🌧️🌱

Flipping bathroom sink and bath drains are running very slow, have put soda crystals down so fingers crossed. Will do outside drain too. If its not one thing its another

Drains seem a lot better now, used the wierd plunger i have as well. Fingers crossed.
Been out and dead headed my polyanthus and cut all the dead growth off my big huekera. Nice out but clouds keep rolling by making it chilly. Noticed my lillies are finally growing, I thought I had lost them, yeah! Need to go and put oil in the car, the light came on as we were coming home yesterday but left it to settle overnight.
