Good luck with the cake baking tomorrow, hope it behaves itself and you don’t end up covered in icing. Bet it will be lovely though. The meal on Wednesday sounds like a much nicer, relaxed way to celebrate, especially with him off work so you can actually enjoy it together.
That joint celebration at the weekend sounds like it works out well for everyone, even if it means you miss out on seeing his dad this time. And honestly, a few days without mystery dishes magically appearing sounds like a win to me 🤣 enjoy the break while it lasts.
The weather is so misleading today, looks absolutely gorgeous until you step out and nearly get blown sideways. Typical. Hope it calms down a bit for your plans.
And yes, 21 and thinks he’s got life sorted… if only they knew 😂

Have got off my butt hung washing and got 2 pots of mince on the go. One plain mince, one for spag bol. That's 2 meals sorted for next 2 days. Not doing a damm thing more today except clear up kitchen.
Got some seedlings steeping in water, hopefully they will keep growing. Have loads of snap dragons, they will need thinning out though. Have half a dozen of the calendula type daisy thingy i have out front so hopefully they will brighten up the front area. My other new plants out front are growing well, phew. No signs of the poppies i sowed though which is weird as they self seed every year anyway without help. Pah! Gardening drives you potty.😄
Loved those mini daffs on GW last night, so exquisite.

You’ve done really well getting the meals sorted. Kitchen done then feet up, you’ve really earned it.
Your garden sounds lovely. Snapdragons will be gorgeous, even if thinning is a bit of a faff. Calendula will brighten the front up really nicely. Typical about the Poppies though 🙄 they never behave!
And yes those mini daffs were absolutely gorgeous last night. I couldn't believe how different they were . I loved them ❤️

Afternoon all. Lovely day here apart from the bloody wind! It's freezing despite the sunshine.
Ventured out with first washing as there were no clouds, fingers crossed. More washing done, hoovered etc its coffee time.
Ordered hosp needs and got a call back to check up on me. The nurse is gonna check when I need bloods done again and send me a form as I used to have them done much more regularly. Haven't even seen my new consultant!
Got to slap on choc butter icing and put decorations on ds2s cake later on. Get the decs out, do his card etc once he has gone to work.
Hope weather is behaving with you all, have a good one.

Rsin has held off @DirtyGertiefromno30 but washing is in anyway, it's very cloudy, sun is shining but I am freezing!
Won't be bad if it rains overnight as garden could do with a water😄 Its too damm cold to do it myself and wind is fierce.
Need to think about tea for myself once the icing has gone down a bit 😄 have pastry in fridge to cook to go with mince. Will do another baked potato.
