Calling all longtime lurkers...

If you’ve been reading Mumsnet for a while, but haven't yet plucked up the courage to jump into the fray with a post of your own - then this is YOUR week!

It's time to take the plunge and become a fully-fledged Mumsnetter - all you have to do is to say hello on this thread, and boom, you're in. What's more, your name will be put in the Mumsnet sombrero to win one of our exciting spot prizes.

What are the prizes, you ask? WELL - only a clutch of exclusive Mumsnet mugs, usually solely available to MNHQ staff and sleb visitors!

Once you've posted here, go and have a browse through our ‘getting started’ guide and . We've gathered the most legendary threads in the site’s history in one place, so you can do your background reading - and if you can't yet tell your BFP from your LTB, here's a handy guide to Mumsnet acronyms.

Seasoned Mumsnetter who extend the hand of friendship to newbies will also have their names put in the hat, just for being lovely people.

So come on folks, don't be shy: post below and tell us what you think of MN. Happy posting!

Hello lurkers. I was a lurker too, but it's much more fun to post. Enjoy!

BouleBaker · 12/06/2017 22:47

Hello lurkers. I posted quite a bit for a while but only post occasionally now. Always up for a parking thread though.

Shock it can't have been a year since the last one, when we got this Halo for helping???

Hi everyone, don't be scared, the majority are lovely on here and the few that aren't are soon shouted at by those that are! There are loads of silly questions asked daily by longtime MNetters, sometimes there are even whole threads devoted to silly stuff we have done (great fun to read through!) so if you are unsure about something don't think twice, just ask

WarmHugs · 13/06/2017 06:03

Cambam2010 · 13/06/2017 12:23

Hello from a longterm lurker (very very minimal poster). I don't comment much as I'm too slow and most of the times the conversations flow at great speed and I don't want to interupt the flow with an out of date comment!

QueenofLouisiana · 13/06/2017 12:56

Welcome lurkers!! Grab a space on the grass and enjoy the sun.

WhosTakingDeHorseToFrance · 13/06/2017 13:31

Chin chin ladies & gents, lurked for an age then I got brave. Mumsnet is fantastic to keep your sanity in the darkest of parenting moments...

Silverstreaks · 13/06/2017 13:34

There's always something to entertain a lurker.
Humanity is varied, funny and ridiculous and you can usually find a good selection right here.

Hello all. I'd pay good money for a Mumsnet mug. I hope it's massive, like a modern day feminist Sports Direct alternative.

I was a loooong time lurker then I had a really shit day with my toddlers and the only place I could talk to was on here. Everyone told me itll pass. I didn't believe it at the time though! Grin

Emeraldstarr · 13/06/2017 18:02

Another lurker offering wine Wine and Cake. Lurked for a long time after Googling mumsnet instead of netmums!!

I get too invested in parking threads, love a bridezilla and can spend hours in classics. Not sure I'll ever post on AIBU (certainly not without double and triple checking my grammar and spelling!)

Phew! First ever post posted! Smile (mustn't add kisses!)
