One of the two companies that organised this event also organised an event last year (or the year before?), and the same thing happened. They cancelled at short notice.
They are blaming several factors (COL, ticket sales etc), but they fail to acknowledge they didn’t announce a final line up until tickets had been advertised for a while, and that the ticket costs were extortionate.
Some people have been having trouble getting a refund from Ticketmaster because the company worded it as the event was postponed, so they will hold the money until a new date is arranged. But there won’t be a new date.
Understandably, people are very upset. They have plane tickets and hotel rooms booked, many of which are non-refundable. I saw there has been a ‘anti-Kpop Lux’ get together organised for those who will still be travelling to London!
I was really keen to go with my daughter, but my spidery senses were tingling when I saw who had arranged it, and remembered their previous behaviour. Glad we avoided it now.
