Mine is Elvis Costello's cover of She.

Although I am NOT a fan of Notting Hill, whenever its on I have to watch the last 5 minutes, to see the bit where Hugh is reading a book in the garden square and Julia Roberts is lying on the bench, pregnant. I always cry and I hate myself a little bit for it [ashamed emoticon].

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. I listened to the album it is on a lot when ds was just growing out of the baby stage and my grandma was dying. I love the song still but if I hear it and I'm caught off guard I can cry buckets.

Prettiest Eyes - The Beautiful South.

You Can't Take That Away From Me - sung by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.

CrowAndAlice · 02/02/2010 22:37

Lyrics for the uninitiated:

Years from now, I want you years from now
And I hold you years from now as I love you tonight
You are my one true friend, always my one true friend
And I love you till life's end as I love you tonight

I know this world that we live in can be hard
Now and then and it will be again
Many times weve been down
Still love has kept us together the flame never dies
When I look in your eyes the future I see

Wanting you years from now
And holding you years from now
And loving you years from now
As I love you tonight

I know this world that we live in can be hard
Now and then and it will be again
Many times weve been down
Still love has kept us together the flame never dies
When I look in your eyes the future I see

Wanting you years from now
And holding you years from now
And loving you years from now
As I love you tonight

Oh yikes - have Doctor Hook killed it?

Rofl at David Essex, Sea! (I could have been there in that audience, went to see him loads of times, was utterly besotted) .

HesterPrynne · 02/02/2010 23:05

David Essex.. ahhh memories. Still have my scrap book with newspaper and Jackie cuttings. And my treasured signed ticket

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/02/2010 23:15

Oh God Hester - me too! Two scrapbooks somewhere in my mother's attic. They are so cringeworthy. Must say I'm a bit dismayed by my own reaction to the fact that he's grey and balding now .

Bobbiewickham · 02/02/2010 23:15

And do you know what?

He's a grandad now - and I still would.

Hold Me Close is my favourite
