Anyone going to see Green Day this week/next and want to get excited with me?

So, who wants to do it all again next year?!

They are doing Old Trafford in Manchester and Wembley next year.

My boys are distraught.... they are not tall enough or old enough imo to stand at Old Trafford to be pushed/shoved to get a place for hours on end, but to go to Wembley the tickes alone for four of us are £217. We then have to pay for accommodation and train travel and for stuff to eat - you are talking £500.

In Vegas we had such fab seats that I think anything less would put a damper on it for them. >

They are amazing and DH did for a fleeting moment consider it when I thrust the link in front of his face at 6.30am this morning... but if it was just me and him, then blimey I would be there like a shot, but the boys would never ever forgive us.

DS1 has just told me that £217 ain't a lot of money... well I suppose it isn't but when you have to factor everything else into it £500 is.

Only just seen this thread! Saw them at the LG Arena on 27th and they were fab as usual. Have booked tickets for Wembley next year ;-)

Have acquired seating tickets for Wembley. Joined the fan club specially to get pre-sale tickets.

Luckily, after coming with me to the Brum show, DH is now a convert to the GD cause and doesn't think I'm just an over-excited, overgrown teenager any more. Much.

I will get excited with you!!! I am dragging my partner along to the gig saturday - I am soooo excited, this is my first greenday gig - my daughter and her hubby wsent to the O2 and Wembley last year - we won;t be moshing but she will - she got a plectrum and got to shake all their hands last year. my partner's a dyed in the wool rock drummer but has promised to be good and not pull faces ! Nice to know there are lots of oldies going to Wembley this saturday - me and my partner are 58 and 52 - and still rockin. I will be in my jeans, t shirt and my first pair of converse, can't wait to hear jesus of suburbia live..my daughter got me a couple of their cd's and I blast em out in the car on the way to work - but for weeks I thought the opening words to J of Suburbia were "I just shot a regular" !!! My hearing has clearly been damaged by years of listening to rock bands!!

But I'll be going to Wembley on Saturday. Am I'm PG at the min, will be up in a nice comfy(?) seat. And will be wearing whatever I can fit into on the day, I'm already too fat for the GD T-shirt I got in October. Sigh.

I'm sure the lyric mishearing is entirely Billie Joe's fault , poor enunciation. I thought I knew all their lyrics but am working my way through Green Day: Rock Band (recommended, if you like that sort of thing!), and some of the lyrics I have been, like, oh really? Oops...

Billie Joe sounds like he has a permanent cold....

Saw them last night in Manchester! OMFG it was amazingly fantastic!!

I have been a fan since Dookie but this is the first time i have been able to get tickets to see them. I love going to gigs but this was the best - first time that i had a little cry when i got home!! [over emotional -bad year!!) Was with DH, his nephew and one of my best mates and we all said it was superb. 2 hrs 45 of wonderful new and old - and very loud -music inc bits of Sweet Child o Mine, Highway to Hell, Hey Jude and some general chaos from the fab Tre Cool too!

BTW - Billy Joe is absolutely feckin gorgeous (looking a tiny bit like Marc Bolan last night i thought - no bad thing at all!!)

Can't believe I started a thread.... at my age! I'm really going on saturday to see the pink bunny and prove to everyone it wasn't the drink.

Going on Saturday as well, standing tickets, can't wait! Saw them at the O2 in October and was blown away.
