I can't be the only one who loves this band more than life itself (well almost).
I only just discovered them a month ago. I can't believe I missed so much.

OP posts:

This one's 'groovy'

LyraSilvertongue · 09/06/2009 22:15

You gotta know this one
That's enough for now. As you can see, I'm determined to convert you. I am a Muse missionary .

squilly · 09/06/2009 22:28

I'm bumping this, as it's my catch up on telly night. I'll play these tomorrow while I'm listing on Ebay...should keep me busy

I'll let you know if your conversion works. If it doesn't I'll still let you know then we can both, with regret, move on

LyraSilvertongue · 09/06/2009 23:50

I wont stop trying. I'm a dedicated missionary to the Church of the Almighty Muse

squilly · 10/06/2009 14:38

I love the 'Feeling Good' track. An excellent cover in my opinion and that led me to searching for my own fave. Sunburn...it's just a beautiful track. Restrained in all the right places, his voice at it's absolute best and the video? Well....just to die for. And so thrashy in the chorus bit, who could resist?

But the rest??? Not doing it for me so much.
I've started to have a good mooch though. Who knows? There might be a few more in there that I like. I got called into school today so couldn't play all the links all the way through. And I need to spend more time here but I gotta post parcels for now (darn that Ebay!).

But I'll be back...ack...ack...ack....

milkyandhoney · 12/07/2009 17:28

Ooh just stumbled across this! I am sooo Muse obsessed at the moment, having only recently discovered the true extent of their genius! I actually saw them supporting someone years ago, but motherhood etc delayed my 'getting in to them'

Been playing 'Unintended' constantly today.

milkyandhoney · 12/07/2009 20:27

Forgot to add my Muse boast! Matt came into the dry cleaners I used to work in and gave me his trousers to clean! [swoon]

harleyd · 16/07/2009 11:36

well i hope you were sufficiently star struck and got your photo taken with him

still on the lookout for reasonably priced tickets

milkyandhoney · 16/07/2009 18:15

No I didnt! It took a while for the penny to drop, and it was 10 years ago and I wasn't a big fan at that time.

A friend of mine has tickets for November .

LyraSilvertongue · 23/07/2009 22:22

I have outrageously overpriced tickets for November too.
What do we all think of the new track from the album, United States of Eurasia?

milkyandhoney · 26/07/2009 19:19

I am Lyra.

'United States of Eurasia' - Beautiful piano intro. I have to say the more I listen to it the more I love it... a friend has described as "Queen being raped by a middle eastern belly dancer" .

LyraSilvertongue · 27/07/2009 14:58

That's a very accurate description
I can't wait for the rest of the album.

milkyandhoney · 27/07/2009 17:03

Me neither!

BertieBotts · 27/07/2009 17:11

I don't think DS would have been born was it not for Muse . They also got me through my Diploma in Graphi Design DP hates them though I should get my old CDs out again...

milkyandhoney · 27/07/2009 18:32

Yes definitely get them out again! and [tut] to your dh.

LyraSilvertongue · 28/07/2009 19:43

My DP hates them too. I think maybe I've played them too much
I do find it hard to imagine how anyone could hate such musical genius though.

milkyandhoney · 28/07/2009 20:05

Been listening to Dark Shines a lot today - makes me want to dance.

Origin of Symmetry generally lifts my spirits, where as Absolution is so melancholy but soothing.

LyraSilvertongue · 28/07/2009 20:10

I love Origin of Symmetry. But I think Absolution may be my favourite.

milkyandhoney · 28/07/2009 20:21

Yep if someone held a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I'd pick absolution .

Falling away with you is just the most beutiful song...

milkyandhoney · 28/07/2009 20:25

beautiful

LyraSilvertongue · 28/07/2009 20:29

And Stockholm Syndrome. And Apocalypse Please. I could go on. And on.

milkyandhoney · 28/07/2009 20:34

I know - impossibly ace!!

milkyandhoney · 28/07/2009 20:35

Ooh Lyra, that's what I wanted to ask. Would you mind divulging how much you've paid for your ticket (understand if not)?

LyraSilvertongue · 28/07/2009 20:37

It was in euros so I don't know exactly but it was about £160 for two tickets. Shocking, I know, way above face value but I just could not bear to miss seeing them live.

Thequeensfool · 20/08/2009 15:13

Any thoughts on 'uprising'?
(it's milky)
