Beetroot- what sort of music does he like? How old is he?

There have been some good supplements with the Saturday Guardian (last month?) listing all the festivals eg. boutique festivals, green festivals, family festivals, teenage festivals etc.It might be worth searching their archives

Shame the weather's so bad though, isn't it? Oooh good, the Fratelli's next!

Pesto, my mum wouldn't let me go that year! but I went when Whitesnake Headlined!

booge · 27/06/2008 21:12

DH and I are going on Sunday, it will be sunny!

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 21:16

Frizbe, that must have been good. I saw Whitesnake at the Brighton Centre when I was a student. I just loved Cozi Powell, especially when he was just submerged amidst a mass of exploding fireworks!!

I also saw Rainbow down at the Cornwall Colliseum back in 1983 too, marvellous

meglet · 27/06/2008 22:38

is it just me wondering (and rather impressed) how Edith Bowman has got to Glastonbury 3-4 weeks after a c-section and newborn in tow!! I was barely able to get to Sainsburys by that point.

notnowbernard · 27/06/2008 22:40

He's 2weeks old and at home with Granny, apparently

She must be feeling a bit weird, surely?

Looks great though

meglet · 27/06/2008 22:42

2 weeks !!!!!! She does look rather fab.

maidamess · 27/06/2008 22:44

I thought Estelle was dire.

Rap/Dance music doesn't work live IMO. Because its normally recorded with soo many technical tweaks, it doesn't cut the mustard when they have to perform it.

meglet · 27/06/2008 22:50

Her singing was not good was it .

I have high hopes for Jay-Z though. Do you think Beyonce is with him?!

maidamess · 27/06/2008 22:51

If she is, I hope she gets up on stage.....she's great live.

JudgeNutmeg · 28/06/2008 00:20

I so wish I was there.

I used to live in Glastonbury and my friends and I used to get roped in to organise carparking. We were 18 years old and thought the music was crap. I thought Motley Crue were the business and travelled for days to see them at Donnington.

Ahhh...youth. Getting hit on the back of the head by bottles of piss. Good times.
