PestoMonster -I'm watching it and enjoying it too (almost as old as you )

DP has been away on a jolly the last couple of Glastonbury weekends so its a bit odd him being here watching it with me this time.

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 20:07

I bet that feels funny. Actually my DH would love it too. We do watch it when it's on tv, but haven't been since having the dds.

I used to go to Castle Donington in my youth!! Now that was fun!!

BettySpaghetti · 27/06/2008 20:12

I've done Reading and Glastonbury in my younger years, so has DP but never together as we'd stopped doing hardcore festivals by the time we met.

We used to go to lots of gigs together though but this stopped with the arrival of DC (although saying that I did go to a small festival when pregnant with DD but wimped out of camping)

notnowbernard · 27/06/2008 20:16

DP is at Glastonbury and I am very

Though a little less so since it started pissing down

We went to WOMAD last year with the dcs and it was a quagmire... absolute nightmare!

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 20:16

I have to say, watching from the comfort of home is not half bad

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 27/06/2008 20:18

wish i was there instead of home with pukey husband and kids

not watching, will make me

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 20:30

Oh you should watch there's some great looking lads bands on tonight

OP posts:
Frizbe · 27/06/2008 20:34

am watching glad not to be there in the rain, did it with dd1 when she was 6mths old and it rained on the last 2 days, wasn't much fun, some bugga put straw down in the kids field to try and stop the mud, but it clogged everyones buggy wheels up
Pesto I used to go Monsters of Rock too (assume that's what you mean!) good fun
Edith looks suitably knackered to be presenting a tv programme so soon, poor love.

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 20:36

Yes That's it. My highlight was 1984 with AC/DC headlining and also Van Halen & Ozzie Osbourne and Motley Crue. #

where can I take ds1 to cheer him up?

which festival

Hassled · 27/06/2008 20:38

I've been transported back to the glory days of 1986 and my misspent youth...

PestoMonster · 27/06/2008 20:39

Tis good, isn't it Hassled?

OP posts:
Hassled · 27/06/2008 20:43

I was telling DS1 (who reckons only Reading is worth going to ) that a sign of how great Glastonbury is is the fact that 22 years later I still feel all nostalgic about one fantastic weekend - ridiculous on the face of it, I know.
