HRF I have a new thing since having DS, which involves an overwhelming urge to cry at inappropriate times. I also spontaneously cry whenever I hear crowds cheering.

SwearyInn · 23/11/2016 20:44

What's an honest-to-God proofreader?

I have to hold back tears when I'm frustrated. I get frustrated when people don't agree with me. I have to hold back tears a lot. I nearly cried at work today but I have no idea why. I think it was a mix of feeling happy yet vulnerable.

LauraMipsum · 23/11/2016 21:18

Same here alba - I can't watch sporting events or I well up. No idea why!!

ruralmum78 · 23/11/2016 23:58

Don't get me wrong, when I'm frustrated or angry I cry, but I've never cried at a TV programme before. Never mind a cartoon Blush

I've had a rubbish week. I'm still not well and to top it off I've been arguing with dp.

I'm pleased. I have no doubt whatsoever that you will get there.
Did you get any feedback about the interview? Would that be helpful, or more depression-inducing?

That's very impressive, Polter! You have every reason to be proud of that.

It appears I have applied to university - just submitted my UCAS application this afternoon.

Thank you 😂 I bet your interview was a lot better than you thought; that's a lot of competition you were against.

CrohnicallyPregnant · 24/11/2016 19:00

Flowers for polter shame you didn't get it but at least you fhave an idea of what you need to do next time. I'm glad you're still determined!

Well done autisticrat uni quite suited me, hopefully it will you too, far less enforced group work etc, I spent a lot of time studying on my own as I kept falling asleep in lectures... make sure you check out what support is available for you.

HRF hope you feel better soon and dp makes it up to you!

autisticrat · 24/11/2016 19:12

Thank Crohn - going to be applying for DSA at some point, and I've checked out what the various universities can offer, so I'm hoping that their services match up to their promises Hmm

Albadross · 24/11/2016 19:17

Just come from psychiatrist - she said she went from saying she definitely thought I had BPD to then saying she can se lots of traits. She also said there's a specialist ASD unit in the priory where I was before, and that maybe the doctor could offer a reduced fee for an assessment because they have all my notes already, but I've read most of them and they're all pretty inaccurate - what if that ruins it?!

autisticrat · 24/11/2016 19:24

Tricky one, Albadross.

I've spent years and years trying to rid myself of the exceptionally sticky BPD label - I think it helped that my ASD report was very firm about my not having a personality disorder (presumably they got lots of ASD women who've had their autistic traits misinterpreted as PD traits). It's possible your ASD clinic also has lots of women who've been given a BPD label in error, as those of us who've been through the MH system will generally have been clearly atypical in some way, which often means that they can't explain your symptoms with an axis 1 condition and reach for PD instead. If so, I'd hope that your notes will be read in that context.
