We are going to be working with an ice cream brand over the next few months and would like to ask a few questions about when your child/children eat ice cream.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have at least one child aged 3-13 and will only take a few minutes to complete.

Done but found it not a true representation because our consumption of ice cream is very weather dependent! In the heatwave last year we had it very frequently but not at all in the winter!

yes I agree bong. How often do I give my kids an ice cream on average? Erm, daily on summer holiday, otherwise every now and again except between Nov and Feb when we don't eat ice cream as it's too cold. God knows what that averages out at....

Done but yes - DS had an ice cream today because the ice cream van came to our cul de sac (it’s FEBRUARY!!) and it was very exciting indeed. But we don’t keep ice cream in the house. So there was nowhere to really provide such specifics. But maybe they’re not needed!

Agree with other posters. My children would have far more ice cream in the summer than in the winter. During the week/school holidays this would most likely be an ice pop in hot weather rather than an ice cream which is more if a beach/day trip treat.

I filled it in but it isn't representative of our ice cream consumption for the reason other posters give but also the one about what three things make me choose which ice cream missed out the most important one and really the only thing that matters: Which one does my DC choose?

Also, nutritional value? Really? Kids clamouring for their favourite and I'm considering calcium and vitamin content?

I didn’t think I could answer it accurately for the reasons listed above so I gave up! In the summer we have ice cream in the freezer at home and out and about but in the winter it’s obviously much rarer.

I can also categorically say that I never consider the nutritional value of the ice cream choices Hmm
