No exexpat, not just you! None of my 3 dds who are in that age bracket drive. They half talk about doing it at some point but uni, travelling, no money etc gets in the way!

minceandpotatoes · 30/07/2017 22:47

My DD doesn't drive either and nor do I!
I've filled in the survey anyway but don't know if my answers will be useful at all.

AnnMumsnet · 31/07/2017 15:04

Survey open to all, regardless of driving or not as they are often out and about too in friends cars etc. Just leave blank any Qs which don't apply! Thanks

I don't get why anyone would be tracking other people either.
Could have done with an 'inbetween' box in the "constantly worrying about them" "Never worrying about them" question. Grin

I give mine a thought every now and then, but it doesn't take over my life.

Done.

I'll only pay for mine to learn to drive if they choose a career path where driving is essential; if not, it counts as a luxury in my book and they can pay for those themselves.

The telemetrics box on our car just tells you about speed, mileage and standard of driving. It's interesting to see how much better DSs driving is on a familiar route than an unfamiliar one. He usually gets a silver or gold rating. On a new route he goes down to bronze.

Maidofastolat30744 · 03/08/2017 16:14

My 17 year old passed really quickly and first time and now thinks he is king of the road!

He doesn't take risks, and his friends like him to drive as they feel he is the better driver, but I still worry.

We don't have black box on his car yet. Will look at it but need more details as we are in a rural area with very steep hills he needs to drive on and I am not sure how that will affect it with the amount of revving he needs to do in his not very high powered car!

NormaSmuff · 07/08/2017 12:01

ds got a black box as it brought down the cost of his insurance.

NormaSmuff · 07/08/2017 12:02

i must ask him if he gets feedback, bearing in mind he might not want to tell me Grin
