It's survey time again for the team at MNHQ.

Please take a few minutes to complete our survey about how you feel about a specific topic on MN.

It's open to all MNers.

As a thank you, all respondents (who leave their details at the end) will be entered into a prize draw in which one MNer will win a £50 Amazon voucher.

Here's the link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/P5QJTNN

Thanks and good luck
MNHQ

Hello!

It was and seemed simple to answer.

Goshly

Have you opened the survey? It's pretty self explanatory.

I would have thought that Mumsnet will use the results of the survey, and that they will not use any of your personal information in isolation Goshly. For example, I would expect that they won't use my email contact details in combination with my income and childrens ages, and then sell that on to third parties.

They will just use my email address when if I win the voucher to let me know that I have won it.

Many MN surveys say at the bottom that your email address will only be used to contact you if you have won/been selected to do a product test. It is a few days since I did this survey so I can't remember whether this one had the usual words explaining pretty clearly how the individual, personal information would be used, as opposed to the general overall statistical output of a mass survey.

Is that what you were getting at?

GoshlyoHeavens · 15/07/2013 16:45

Yes, I did open it.

Soooooo sorry for asking a question.

Yoni, not really.

@GoshlyoHeavens

What information will you or others be getting or collecting?

Sorry you're not getting the answers you're after, Goshly.

We're probably being a bit dense but we're not quite sure exactly what your question is?

Are you asking us what information we (MNHQ) are collecting through this survey? If so, you only have to click on the survey link to find out. No obligation to take the survey, unless you want to.

I don't get your problem, Goshly, and can't really understand why you don't just clarify what you want! MNHQ have said twice now that they don't understand your question, but you haven't bothered to try and be more specific!

Do you want to know what MN are planning to do with the results they get?

It's obvious what information they will be getting, from the questions that are on the survey - which is why people keep asking you if you've opened the survey.

No problem at all. (But personal attacks do break our site rules.)

Seriously, tell us exactly what you want to know - if our previous answer was no good to you - and we will answer it.

I think the biggest problem re the feminism boards is that that section is extremely robust discussion so many of us won't venture in there. I'd brave AIBU any day rather than face it.

Done. And oo-er at Goshly Confused

ButThereAgain · 15/07/2013 18:50

Did goshly mean to ask what uses the survey info will be put to? Or has that been dealt with anywhere upthread? I'd be interested to know the answer to that question.
Is it like the netmums(?) similar survey a while ago -- which I think was for the purposes of a press story intended as a snapshot of feminist thinking among a userbase (and an opportunity to get site publicity)?

I wouldn't really like to fill out a survey without more info than the OP gives about all the possible uses to be made of it.

Report
BIWI · 15/07/2013 18:52

Well none of us knows what Goshly means, and he/she isn't coming forward to make it any clearer, ButThereAgain.

I think the feminist boards have calmed down hugely, timidviper. Unfortunately not much going on there

Report
ButThereAgain · 15/07/2013 18:57

Fat finger hit post too soon. Not much going on there to replace the earlier tone I meant. It's a shame we should have a feminist posting spree. In fact, i wonder if that is part of the survey's purpose to generate constructive interest in the topic.

Yes I would sooner put An AIBU ( relevant one ) on feminism than AIBU. aIBU is definately the scariest place on mn.
