NOW CLOSED: UK MNers: Is your child learning to read? Please complete a short survey for Pearson - you could win £250 of John Lewis vouchers

Pearson - the UK's leading educational company - have asked us to find out how you feel about reading with your child, and the support and resources you get from your child's school and elsewhere.

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey - it is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child in the earlier stages of learning to read - aged between approximately 3 and 7.

Everyone who completes the survey and who adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 John Lewis voucher.

Please note all responses are confidential. You will not be sold anything as a result of this survey and your name will not be linked to your responses.

Here's the link again: here

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ

Done, although I have to point out AGAIN to Mumsnet that you need to stop taking an English centred approach and calling it UK. To the best of my knowledge there are no plans in Scotland to introduce testing for 6 year olds.
Bang goes my chance of winning Grin

more bloody work for teachers. i predict that the poorer reader's will be given extra help which is good but not if it is at the expense of letting the more able readers coast because they are already past the level... (sigh)

oh and don't get me started about the reading books at school.....
