Pearson - the UK's leading educational company - have asked us to find out how you feel about reading with your child, and the support and resources you get from your child's school and elsewhere.

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey - it is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child in the earlier stages of learning to read - aged between approximately 3 and 7.

Everyone who completes the survey and who adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 John Lewis voucher.

Please note all responses are confidential. You will not be sold anything as a result of this survey and your name will not be linked to your responses.

Here's the link again: here

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ

A couple of the questions don't work together for me - DDs school doesn't use a reading scheme at all. The children bring home whatever book they want to choose from the class library, thus they are books the child wants to read, may be too hard or too easy but it's what they want and, equally, can be fab or dull for the parent. None of the "how do you feel about the books your child brings home" questions fit this kind of scenario.

FreudianSlippery - it can mean whatever type of learning establishment you use I guess....if they are starting to learn to read then it is ok (we were vague with the ages as they are all different!) thanks and sorry for the delay in responding
