We hope you have received and had a chance to try your DEXERYL® cream. Please take a minute to answer the questions below. Everyone who is a tester (for themselves or a member of their family) and provides feedback below will be entered into a prize draw to win an Avène skincare and Klorane haircare hamper worth £250 (containing products for sensitive skin ranging from cleansers to anti ageing but also smoothing shampoos with plant extracts).

greasy - but absorbed so quickly it didn't matter

o Better.

o Very good - much better than usual creams, skin felt lovely and soft afterwards.

o Non-greasy. Lovely and light
  1. How did you find DEXERYL® cream in comparison to your usual emollient?
o Better. Overall that is. In terms of effectiveness twas about the same as 50/50 cream. But that is somewhat messy and greasy so I much preferred this product. Also, our pct has stopped prescribing 50/50 cream now due to health and safety reasons (I think someone set fire to themselves). I would rate it as more effective than some of the other emolients we have used.

Very easy but it's very runny which took me by surprise.

Only on bad patches. I generally put cream all over DS, but this left him a bit slimey.

Very greasy

Worse

OK - but on certain areas it felt kind of prickly and tight.

o easy, but agree with other posters that a pump tub would be better, or even just a flip top lid.

o We stopped using Aveeno bath oil and cream and DS itched like mad using just Dexeryl, then started using bath oil again with Dexeryl, and it is much better now.

o Good once we knew to use bath oil aswell.

o Yes if DS can get it on prescription.

o good but son did complain of stinging on initial application, and skin seemed sticky for quite a while afterwards. skin well moisturised though.

Easy, but quite runny so some was wasted

yes absorbed well, but still left skin with waxy/greasy residue so had to wait to put on pyjamas

o worse. I found myself feeling itchy after 20 minutes and wanted to wash it off. Ok on very dry hands

o OK in the moisurising department but my skin reacted to it slightly
  1. Based on your experience of using DEXERYL® cream, do you think you would use it again?

no. unpleasant feeling on skin. Prefer Aveeno which has added calming effect.

o Very easy to apply

o in comparison to other creams it was probably absorbed around the same amount of time.

o Non-greasy and left skin feeling silky rather than clogged.
  1. How did you find DEXERYL® cream in comparison to your usual emollient?
o It has worked a lot better particularly on my 2yr olds face as it has helped to clear up her skin greatly.

o Very good

o Yes I would definetly be using it again although the size of the tube I wont be needing to replace it for a while

o Yes it has actually worked better than steroid creams prescribed for my girls.

Better it has eased alot of the redness on my sons feet which are the worst affected area.

o Better for me. I had several patches of eczema / dermatitis on both arms / hands which have completely gone since using the cream. My skin is soft and smooth. On the children I would say that their skin was about the same as when they use their usual cream. No miracle improvement but likewise no deterioration in their skin condition.

o Better application but worse in other areas. It went onto skin fantastically. All three of us started itching terribly about 20-30 minutes later which continued all day unless washed off. It felt like I wanted to scratch the top layer of my skin off. My DS1 said it was like there was a barrier to his skin and he couldn't get to the itch. My arms ended up bleeding and sore!

o Better - A lot less greasy.
Like some people have said it made the patches on my daughter go very red, but then they pratically disappeared.

My daughter's skin is so much better than it was with this cream. Whereas before her skin would be very dry and flaky within a couple of hours, now it is smooth all of the time.

We used to maintain it and now it feels like we are finally getting someway towards clearing it.
