Families needed to test new Philips Sonicare for kids - you must have a child aged 4-10

We've been asked by Philips to find 20-25 families who can test their new Sonicare for Kids rechargeable toothbrushes.

Each family selected will get to keep the brushes, worth £70 each, and will be required to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet after using the brush for a couple of weeks. We'll start this thread once the brushes have been sent out.

Everyone who adds feedback will also be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Sonicare FlexCare toothbrushes (for adults) - worth £160 each.

Philips say their new brush is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years, and is based on the same technology as Sonicare FlexCare for adults, but with power levels and features specially suited for smaller, younger mouths. Tough on plaque yet suitably gentle on young teeth and gums, Sonicare For Kids removes 75% more plaque than a manual toothbrush. 91% of US dental professionals who did a trial of the the brush with their own children said they preferred Sonicare for Kids over their child's previous brush.

To be in with a chance of testing this new product, please add your details. You must live in the UK and have a child aged 4-10.

We're able to send out two brushes to families who are selected who have more than one child aged 4-10.

Thanks and good luck!

Done! Even though I live in the Channel Islands, sometimes they are included under the UK umbrella (fingers crossed!)

I registered for this trial the other day but have just looked at the link for the sonicare kids toothbrush.

I love the way this brush is designed to teach children to brush all the teeth properly and how it increases the time that they brush for.

Good Luck everybody xx

MN and Philips were overwhelmed with the positive response to this research project ? we actually had more than 300 of you signing up for the product test in less than 24 hours! We closed this off much earlier than imagined so as not to cause too much disappointment.

We have now selected the testers and the Sonicare brushes are being sent out today or tomorrow by Citylink ? all should have their brushes by the weekend.

I am pleased to announce the testers are: Flashharriet, brandonsflower, charleymouse, Comewhinewithme, CORNSILK, dingle, Dottydot, Flier, Forkhandles, hayes, hellymelly, heymammy, hunkermunker, IlanaK, Jux, mustrunmore, Paolosgirl, Psychobabble, Shinyshoes, SOLOisMeredithGrey, sweetkitty, tealady, thornrose and TitsalinaBumSquash.

If your name?s on the list please do look out for the delivery.

We will email you with the feedback thread link in a couple of weeks once you?ve had time to test the brushes with the kids. If you have any immediate comments, feel free to add them here!

Congratulations and thanks for being so keen ? sorry to any who were not selected. We?ve got other product tests coming up so keep your eyes peeled.....

Ann, MNHQ

Well just tell those people had Philipps to stop poncing about testing the damn thing and get it in to production for Gawd's sake. My children's gobs are crying out for a good toothbrush and I don't think I can keep going for much longer with this wire wool.

Sheesh.

Oh stop bragging! Some of us are smarting with disappointment & feelings of rejection based entirely on our words being judged and found wanting here, you know?!

I'm reliably informed you can buy them at boots
