Families needed to test new Philips Sonicare for kids - you must have a child aged 4-10

We've been asked by Philips to find 20-25 families who can test their new Sonicare for Kids rechargeable toothbrushes.

Each family selected will get to keep the brushes, worth £70 each, and will be required to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet after using the brush for a couple of weeks. We'll start this thread once the brushes have been sent out.

Everyone who adds feedback will also be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Sonicare FlexCare toothbrushes (for adults) - worth £160 each.

Philips say their new brush is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years, and is based on the same technology as Sonicare FlexCare for adults, but with power levels and features specially suited for smaller, younger mouths. Tough on plaque yet suitably gentle on young teeth and gums, Sonicare For Kids removes 75% more plaque than a manual toothbrush. 91% of US dental professionals who did a trial of the the brush with their own children said they preferred Sonicare for Kids over their child's previous brush.

To be in with a chance of testing this new product, please add your details. You must live in the UK and have a child aged 4-10.

We're able to send out two brushes to families who are selected who have more than one child aged 4-10.

Thanks and good luck!

Hi I would be grateful to try one of these with my son as he has sensory and co-ordination difficulties

fishie · 06/08/2009 21:51

yo geraldine, pls can you clarify, 'more than one child' or 'must have a child aged 4-10'? how many children are required here?

edam · 06/08/2009 21:56

Done but two questions:"

  1. you ask for my MN name and my real name. Please don't send Philips both, I really don't want to lose my anonymity.
  1. The OP says "We're able to send out two brushes to families who are selected who have more than one child aged 4-10." So does this mean families with only one child in that age range shouldn't bother?
flashharriet · 06/08/2009 21:58

I've got 3 kids aged 4-10 - can you really only send two brushes? If that's the case I'd better not register as I don't think I'd like to deal with the fall-out!

Done.

AnnMumsnet · 06/08/2009 22:35

Edam - we just use your MN name for internal purposes only - Philips will get your real name and address only for sending out the stuff (should you be selected). All emails to you will only come from MN.

Edam/Fishie/flashharriet - the brushes are for children aged 4-10 so when you fill in the form say how many children aged 4-10 you have and what we mean is that if you, as a family, are selected and you have 2 children aged 4-10 then you will be sent 2 brushes (they don't have to share one!!!) If you have 3 in the age bracket and are selected then we'll send 3. There is a max number of brushes available. Sorry for slight confusion.

lisad123 - Philips will be sending products out next week sometime....

thanks, Ann. Was curious about you as I wasn't aware of an AnnMumsnet, so I clicked on your profile - what's with the dermatology pix? Do you teach differential diagnosis when you aren't being an internet sprite?
