Hi all

We're looking for 100 mumsnetters to test Itax, a new non-chemical programme of head lice lotion spray (2 treatments per bottle RRP £11.99) and soothing 'anti-itching' shampoo (150ml RRP £9.99).

It's a tricky one because obviously it's hard to know when or if the dreaded lice are going to strike, but if you have a recurrent problem (or a school with a recurrent problem) or have lice you're struggling to shift and would like to put this new product through its paces please give us your details here . We're trying to get the feedback before mid Dec... to give you a time frame to gauge whether you'll get nits before then

Once you've tried out your sample we'll be inviting you to feedback your thoughts about the product and share your nit nightmares. Everyone who offers feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win Avène Sensitive skincare products for adults and Klorane hair products for children worth over £50.

If you've already tried Itax, please feel free to add your feedback now.

Oh and by the way, we have to tell you that Itax lotion spray and soothing shampoo are available in UniChem and pharmacies nationwide.

It's Ok. You can stop scratching now

Maybe as I am in Scotland it will come Monday[hopeful emoticon]

I recieved mine today will try it tonight, but I have to be honest, as a mum of 4, there is no way that I will be able to do the second treatment with that small bottle. My DD1 has thick hair and will take about half of the bottle alone.
I will also report back after one treatment but will be unable to complete the trial.

UnfortunatelyMurderedMe · 18/10/2008 11:43

why not do it on just one child?

SparklyGothKat · 18/10/2008 11:46

because the one child will get them back again from the others. I have to treat them all at the same time

UnfortunatelyMurderedMe · 18/10/2008 11:53

Nitty gritty the others at the same time?

rusmum · 18/10/2008 22:38

my sisters kids have TERRIBLE problems with lice. have them ALL the time. Wuld LOve to try this!

mcdermott · 11/11/2008 13:42

if you are wanting to treat the whole family for a small price, try the X.it 8 application pack, its 12.99 and will be enough for your family of 5. There doing an offer at the mo where you get a free metal comb, so basically you get a free nitty gritty comb as it seems very similar in design. the website is www.xitheadlice.co.uk and it worked 1st time on my daughters hair.
Thanks

If this were still going,we would be interested!

I have my own treatment for nits that also kills the eggs as well so there is no need for combing
